Guest guest
Today was our village fete. The weather was awful and I was quite grateful (in a perverse way) that we had had such a poor response to manning an NCT stall that we hadn't bothered. It was wet, cold and miserable. DS enjoyed himself - decorated a balloon with dangly arms/legs and stick on eyes, then sobbed for England when, having carefully carried it around the fete and back home, it burst indoors. He is, however, now the proud owner of a hastily blown up legs stuck on new balloon. It was such a shame as so many people had gone to so much effort but the weather was not kind. We left home in a break in the rain, but it tipped down for most of the time we were out, and we didn't stay nearly as long as we would have done if the weather had been fine. Typically the rain stopped the moment we got back home. Todman Treasurer, Stansted Branch (R5) Mum to , 3½
