Guest guest
- I really liked your questions about water and DMSA and the liver. I don't know the answer and I was waiting for a response. I have a problem with staying hydrated and I felt that dmsa was hard on my kidneys and liver...I suppose lower dosage is the key and to remember that water.... -- In frequent-dose-chelation , " jinx1983pl " wrote: > > anyone? > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/message/20231 >

If you don't drink enough water you will get dehydrated. You won't feel well and your body won't function well, so I suggest drinking plenty of water - bare minimum 2 quarts per day, and most of us need lots more due to frequent urination. Mild (sub-clinical) kidney impairment will not prevent the body from excreting DMSA and the mercury it is bound to, at least not in the doses we use on this protocol. If you have a serious kidney problem, talk to your doctor. When my urine flow slows down, I take things to alkalinize my urine, such as citrate minerals and bicarbonate (baking soda, alka seltzer gold). These seem to help. > and speaking of water and dmsa/ala, how much water should one drink > with a single dose (according to andy)? You can search the autism-mercury archives via onibasu.com to see if Andy has ever commented on this subject. During the day, I drink a glass of water with every dose. I drink a lot of water at other times as well. --
