Guest guest
Oh I just got a visual... OH NO>>> LOL We have a rattlesnake roundup here is San Antinio every year too. My son used to catch them by the dozen and take them.. He was bitten once by a timber rattler a collector had.. it was so much fun raising a boy that LVED snakes and bugs-- washed many.. Lets leave the derrieres out of this..lol Bruce started it.. lol Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida, IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Welcome to the Air family Ray. We aren't all about doom and gloom here because obviously some of us need to discuss our derrieres and what position we were in to check our expiration stamps. I personally prefer bending over, crooking my head backwards and just looking up. Nah, just teasing. I haven't been able to do that for simply years! Seriously, welcome to our world. Sorry you had to be here but this is a good place to be amongst your peers. No foolin. Did I mention I'm in Texas and we have a tendency to tell tall tales out here? OH! The Rattlesnake Roundup is in Sweetwater this weekend if anybody is interested. Bruce? Wally? No? Oh well.Good news today. Saw pulmo guy and he had nothin but love for the way my chest x-ray looked. The PFT's were good and my lungs sounded clear and I made it thru the winter without a flareup. So yeah!!! I told him the rheumatologist has decided I have RA, Sjogren's,lupus or mixed connective. Definitely something of the connective tissue nature. He is treating me with Plaquenil and I do feel better. We're just going with that as long as it works. I don't care what disease he wants to call it. And Doc was pleased so we're all good out here in West Texas tonight. Except for the rattlesnake thing. Guest guest
Well, the Miss Snake Charmer Pageant does sound interesting combined with the Candy Throwing, all on top of all the Rattlesnake events.... But, I'll have to pass. Glad your doctor's visit went so well today. > > Welcome to the Air family Ray. Guest guest
Thanks Bruce. I trust the house-hunting is going well? Hopefully so. Guest guest
Snakes are bad. Just plain bad. You make me happy I had girls! About the worse they ever did was pick up a horny toad (yes I know that's illegal out here). We all lived. > > Welcome to the Air family Ray. Guest guest
Wally I somehow would have figured.....as for me, I'll stay far away in safety here. I don't play with snakes or guns. I don't even throw candy. I can only imagine the talent competition for Miss Snake Charmer. As bad as I think this event sounds, I'm sure its much worse in person.....sorry, a city boy here. Guest guest
Kathleen If you find a little humor offensive, then I am afraid I don't understand as I've reread that many times and find nothing at all that warranted such a reaction to it as yours. In fact the post you're responding to isn't even addressed to you. No one is here to offend but at the same time we're not going to tiptoe. At the same time, no one was bothered by your post and any comment that it wasn't somehow tolerated is way off target. I realize you're in a very emotional time and maybe at this time this group isn't right for you. However, you might find different. But we are a group of many different personalities and emotions and spirits. We've all got a terminal disease but we also enjoy life. I sure have learned a lot about living with the disease here. Dying doesn't take much learning. It will just sort of happen. > > > From: lbsmith789@... > Subject: Hi all - welcome Ray and other news > To: Breathe-Support > Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2009, 10:02 PM > > > > > > > Welcome to the Air family Ray. Guest guest
First let me say how much I admire your courage and graciousness. I shared something very personel to help Ray, and to see my brothers deaths refered to as gloom and doom just hurt so much. I haven't stopped crying. Maybe Steve's death is just too raw, or I'm cranky from lack of sleep due to night fevers. We aren't all about doom and gloom here because obviously some of us need to discuss our derrieres and what position we were in to check our expiration stamps. I personally prefer bending over, crooking my head backwards and just looking up. Nah, just teasing. I haven't been able to do that for simply years!Seriously, welcome to our world.
Guest guest
Kathleen....NO ONE here would be insensitive to death or dying...and I know was making no reference to you at all. It's a long standing inside joke (that you wouldn't know being a newbie) that we have no expiration date stamped on our fannies....we were being silly this morning when Bruce asked the question, how do we know there is no stamp...hence 's answer. Her reference to doom and gloom had nothing to do with YOU. In fact, I don't have to answer for her...she can reply. Yes, perhaps you are still grieving. I'm sorry you were offended when none was intended...to anyone. We're a silly bunch once in awhile. There's enough illness and grief here...it gets broken up. Wait until you read some of the posts between me and Jack...you will be sure you are in a strange place indeed. Hang around, let us love you too. MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. Guest guest
Kathleen, I honestly feel your pain.. we can not loose family members without grieving and being tender hearted.Let me assure you there is NEVER an intent to hurt anyone on this board. I think it must have just been a raw spot when you read what said about gloom and doom. She was actually making a joke about a funny I posted about seeing ourfannies. So don't take yourself off anywhere. You need us and we need you too. Guest guest
Kathleen No one referred to your brothers deaths as gloom and doom. i know its a very emotional issue to you but you've entirely off base in that regard. The post which apparently bothers you was the start of an entirely different thread and not a response to anything you'd posted. It was to Ray, not to you, not in response to you. I will say the same thing....we're not all about doom and gloom. But, in saying that I'm not talking in any way about your post or your brothers' deaths. We've all lost friends on the forum. 's post was a follow up to mine which was an answer to Sher's.....none of it was in anyway related to your post. > > > From: lbsmith789@sbcgloba l.net> > Subject: Hi all - welcome Ray and other news > To: Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. com > Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2009, 10:02 PM > > > > > Welcome to the Air family Ray.
