Guest guest
Not sure why your cholesterol is low, as you've found it's a very important substance in the body. Never knew this before seems rather obvious after finding out, just look at the last part of the word " sterol " . So how low is yours, what level are the different types? Also have you tried any digestive enzymes for the fats? Not sure you want to describe it, but how are you're bowel movements after eating fat? Also, I'm curious about this statement: " Only coconut oil can I digest correctly, simply because it doesn't need any digestion. " Not that I question it, just wondering where you may have read this or found this information. I've been trying to figure out how to make up my own elemental diet for treating bacterial overgrowth and a quickly digesting fat is needed for the fatty acids. Thanks, Mike > > About a half year ago I did some blood tests. The blood > tests showed hypoglycemia(postprandial) and low (total)choles- > terol. Guest guest
I apologize if this message comes as a repeat (I sent one hours ago and it didn't make it). Lucky for you, this is an abbreviated version. I believe my chronically low cholesterol (113-140 mg/dL) is a big deal. I think it is related to my chronic depression and possibly the anxiety. Here is a link to a flyer I got in the mail this week from Great Plains about low total cholesterol and Autism: http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com/cholesterol/index.html Pam > > About a half year ago I did some blood tests. Guest guest
And our little one always had high/normal cholesterol levels. I did read sometime that Asperger kids were more likely to have high cholesterol, ASD kids, low cholesterol and the article wondering if the cholesterol levels weren't what was responsible for the higher cogntive functioning of Asperger kids, interesting. I tried the nbnus site, but could not find this purified cho- lesterol product. I have emailed them. I think one needs a prescription for this product. That is a shame. I don't think my doctor will give me one. Does anyone know whether doctors prescribe cholesterol for a person with low cholesterol? Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Hi Ali, I and my chronic fatigue freinds all suffer from low cholesterol.. I cannot digest fats but my freinds are alot better so this does not explain it.. For my inability to digest fats I now have with every meal with or without other fats. , a good teaspoon of liquid lecithin and coconut oil The two combined take away my nausea and irritable bowel . I had tried alot of other things and this was the first to help.. Nanci > > > > > > About a half year ago I did some blood tests. Guest guest
I too have low cholesterol and from working in nursing homes I can tell you that people around 180-250 are always better off. Change doctors, What exactly is your level?, my lowest level was 142 but now its around 160. I consume eggs, nuts, oils grapeseed, coconut oils and the fruit, olive, flax all with digestive enzymes. I also took liver cleansing herbs for months and still take milk thistle as recommended by Andy. Otherwise I eat lots of org veggies and fruits. GOod luck. Stay away from processed foods with their unnatural chemicals ,hard for the liver. Btw always soak your nuts, beans, seeds and buy org when possible. > > About a half year ago I did some blood tests. Guest guest
My cholesterol has been low for many years -- like in the 130's. It went up a little when I stopped being a vegetarian. Then, last check it was 186 (with very good " good " HDL cholesterol too). I was doing lecithin, fish oil, and very low dose pregnenolone 2.5mg SubLingual (from Lab). > > About a half year ago I did some blood tests.
