Guest guest
Any of you go from avid readers to unable to read a book and then get it back? I can't read. I start reading way too fast, get lost on the page and lose interest. It feels like my brain races. I had 11 amalgams safely removed in 2004/5. I didn't do much as far as supplements for about 4 months, so I crashed. I have myself on a few things (multimineral, 2 grams EFAs/day, B complex). I've chelated with oral DMSA/ALA (15 mgs/20 mgs) according to Andy's recommendations for about 15 rounds. Other than reading, I feel like I can focus. I do get racing thoughts from time to time but they are not irrational (I just think about a lot of things at once). I also occasionally feel like I'm in that 'flight or fight' mode (seems related to my hormone cycle). I'm 42. HELP! I miss my books. I'm guessing adrenals? Pam ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey Pam, I, too, am an avid reader and had the same difficulty. I've been doing pretty good since chelating (five months)...although I've had something of a setback this month...unable to concentrate for long periods of time and thoughts scrambled. I think it's more related to being out of Vit. E for more than a week. I also suspect, for you, that you need to supplement for your adrenals or perhaps more magnesium? (racing thoughts and anxiety, I guess, can be related to either?) Hope this helps, Robyn
