We had our loft converted when I was pregnant with DD2. They had to make the bathroom smaller to make room for another staircase. We could still use the bath but there was a large hole where the wall had been removed- we had to whistle if one of us was on the loo so that nobody would walk past the gap! The floorboards in the bathroom needed replacing and the large hole in the floor meant that you could have a bath whilst holding a conversation with someone in the kitchen below! It was just about possible to bath DD1 who was 14 months at the time but I was a teeny bit worried that I would drop her down the hole! It really makes you appreciate the quiet when they go (and you don't keep running out of clean mugs/tea/coffee/biscuits etc) Hilary We have 2 windows that need replacing so the mess will start all over again soon ( > > *** NCT enquiry line - 0 *** > > Live chat http://www.yahoogroups.com/chat/nct-coffee > > Have you found out about all the other groups for the NCT online? > >

I am not sure if I want to hear this sort of tale as we are hoping to have a loft conversion soon (soon as in some time before the children start leaving home!)
