Don't even get me started on that!

Steffi has her own NZ passport and until she was about 18mo travelled

on that rather than mine. She wasn't listed on mine as NZ House could

guarantee return in under a week whereas UK passport Office are

nowhere near so helpful (and it was back in the days when they didn't

have o have their own passport).

I took her to the US to stay with Grae for 2 months when he was

working out there and on our return was practically accused of

smuggling her in. Luckily I had all our documents - marriage certs,

birth certs for all of us but they took me away from the general

queueing system and made me turf out my bags.

And then of course there was the incident in Canada last year when the

IO actually did question Steffi, then aged 3.5yo on whether her dad

had waved her off at the airport..!! Having been told not to speak to

strangers, she wasn't very forthcoming.
