Guest guest
I would like to share with you some optimistic facts about Hydergine. I started it some days ago (about 1mg/day) and slowly increased it up to 4,5mg/day in divided doses. This is still far from the 10-20mg that Cutler recommends but enough to report something good. Side effects: A little bit nausea. Other relevant information: A physician told me Hydergine is a very safe drug. Positive effects: Considerable improvement of cognitive faculties. It seems brain fog is not a problem any more. Considerable increase of imagination and dreaming. When my daughter was three (now is 12), I used to tell her invented stories. She loved it. Each time she wanted a story, I just invented one for her. Of course, they were very simple stories (I am far from being Borges!), but for us it was a great pleasure. Later, when she was maybe 7, I didn't have stories for her anymore. At that time I didn't imagine this was just the beginning of deeper cognitive problems and, later, brain fog. My son (which now is 7) never had invented stories from me but only those that I read for him from books, which is not the same thing. Well, three days ago my son asked me something about the wood of his spinning top. Of course, I had no idea where the wood came from but I discovered myself inventing effortlessly a story to explain it. And my daughter and him listened it delighted and asked for more! Don't know for how long Hydergine will work, but I am enjoying each moment. Hope this is useful for someone.
Guest guest
Hi, I, also had a great experience on Hydergine. It was a long time ago and I can't remember the dosage but I had considerably better brain function and no side effects until... I started to get really dizzy when I'd stand up. When I went to the doctor with that side effect, he told me it meant I had to go off the drug and never go back on it. I have yet to find anything that worked as well and since it's been several years I was thinking of trying it again. Glad to hear about your good experiences. :^) Alessa Re: Hydergine Posted by: " Jackie " jtrunt@... jackietutts Mon Feb 4, 2008 9:53 pm (PST) Thanks for this report, . I don't recall many people (if hardly any) ever reporting on using it. Maybe it's my poor memory, and I could probably use some myself! I should ask if she ever prescribes it. Has or does anyone else here use it? How hard was it to get a doctor to prescribe it?--------Jackie In frequent-dose- chelation@ yahoogroups. com wrote: I would like to share with you some optimistic facts about Hydergine. Guest guest
Dear Jackie and others, Besides what Cutler says about Hydergine in AI (p. 151), according to the brochure of the product (free translation from Spanish) it is indicated for: -instability, -dizziness, -headache, -concentration problems, -disorientation, -memory problems, -lack of initiative, -depressive humor, -insociability, -difficulties with daily life activities and self-care, and the possible side effects are: -stuffed nose, -nausea, -gastric problems (which are prevented taking it with meals). It says that in most of the cases the side effects disappear without doing anything and that in some cases there are allergic skin eruptions, headache and flushing or blurred vision. I am using half pill at morning, 1/4 at noon and 1/4 at night but yesterday I missed the dose at noon so I doubled that of night. Bad idea: I had some sort of 'acceleration', similar to what is experimented if one takes too much coffee, and some sleeping problems (which normally I don't have). Maybe it would be a better idea to take 1/2 at morning and 1/2 at noon! Hydergine is relatively cheap in Spain (€7,76 a box of 30 pills of 4,5mg. In fact, Vit. C and the other supplements are what are quite expensive in Europe and particularly in Spain!). It can be bought in practice without prescription. Please drop me a line if you or any other one want me to send some for you! > > I would like to share with you some optimistic facts about Hydergine. > I started it some days ago (about 1mg/day) and slowly increased it up > to 4,5mg/day in divided doses. Guest guest
I asked about Hydergine, and she said she has read about it and thought about using it, but never has. And Andy speaks highly of it in AI on page 151, as mentions. He also says that many offshore pharmacies sell it by mail order to US customers for personal use at a much lower cost than it is available here. (No links though.) So I don't know how customs works for things like that, or if sent it, would customs allow it? I didn't see too many sources using a Google Shopping search. I think this was the cheapest one, $23.75 for 30 x 4.5 mg tablets. , how does that compare with what you pay? Is the price you gave us in euros, and how does that compare with US dollars? (I'm not up on conversions) http://www.biogenesis-antiaging.com/All-Products/c35/p102/Hydergine-Tablets-(Hyd\ ergina)/product_info.html Ok, I did a little more searching/digging, and found a couple offshore sources, but I don't think they're any cheaper than the above, 16 euros and $24.99. www.hepmed.com and www.antiaging-systems.com This stuff sounds wonderful. Sounds like many people, especially the elderly, could benefit from it. , is it widely used in Europe, especially for the elderly? Guest guest
I can tell you that ANYthing that helps with brain fog is something I want to know about. I'm still reading AI (and making a list of questions) and think I remember reading the word " Hydergine " . I'll try to find it again in the book. Meds make me nervous, but this is a very positive thing! : Donna ----------------Thanks for this report, . I don't recall many people (if hardly any) ever reporting on using it. It seems it has been impossible to prove in clinical essays that Hydergine is more effective than a placebo is, even for people with serious cognitive problems, as the head of the pharma lab I know told me. It has been widely used since the 60's. However, he says that the beneficial effect of Hydergine do appear for some individuals, even if the effect is diluted when considering large numbers of people. Hence probably it is worth to try it and see what happens. He also told me that it is very safe and that I could use up to 9mg/day without problem but increasing the dose beyond this only increases side effects. He also recommended me to distribute it along the day in order to benefit more of the vasodilatation effect. Andy recommends the same but using up to 20mg. Whatever the end doses targeted, it seems everybody agrees in the importance of increasing it very slowly to avoid side effects. Now I am on 4,5mg and I think I will only increase the dose if it seems to be needed. Overdose makes me feel a little bit agitated and I dislike it. After avoiding taking it before bed it seems I have no more sleeping problems.---- > Jackie > > > ---For some reason it seems I am no longer able to post messages using the web browser editor. Guest guest
Hi , Brain fog has been a main issue for me for many years. These days this problem very seldom bothers me, but it is not completely solved. In this 6th round of DMSA (25mg/3h) I have had some rough side effects and brain fog appeared for a few hours. When I try to do serious thinking efforts (and by this I mean trying to solve difficult math problems), brain fog might reappear. However, I can teach, talk and face many other tasks without being foggy and I feel very grateful for this. When I started Hydergine I had a considerable improvement in my cognitive functions. I started very low and increased gradually to 4.5mg twice a day. I am on this dose for more than a month and it seems it is still working, but the impressive boost I felt at the beginning is over. I think this is a normal pattern which I also saw with many other supplements that I think are working, including vitamin C. I am also on many other supplements and a number of them are supposed to improve brain function too, so it is hard for me to know exactly what is actually helping. It might happen that Hydergine is not working anymore and that I feel OK due to the other supplements, but I really don't want to quit none of them to check this possibility right now. The complete list of supplements I am using can be found in http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p1dnn2rh-U1qQajG6Fm8kAw&output=html Please, beware that this list seems to be working _for me_ but maybe I am doing something wrong in some, or even many respects. It might not be adequate for others. Particularly, DHEA and pregnenolone, which are supposed to improve brain function, should be used in much lower doses in females and never used with kids. Since I think Hydergine is a very safe drug, it is worth trying it and to see what happens. I hope you will find some relief using it. Warmest regards, > > .....Your posts in Feb were very positive about the effects of Hydergine. I started with 1mg twice a day and will increase to 1 four times a day. Guest guest
Hi , I think hydergine is to be used daily, ON round and OFF round. One should start with a very low dose, like 1mg or so (one quarter of the 4.5mg tablet worked fine for me) and increase it very slowly, otherwise you will suffer from nausea and stuffed nose. My target was 9mg, but Cutler recommends even higher doses, 10-20mg. It is a good idea to spread the doses along the day, so you will benefit more of the brain vasodilatation effect. It may interfere with your sleep, at least at the beginning, so maybe you would rather prefer not to take it before bed. Right now I've been trying to do some maths with a colleague of mine and after three hours I feel foggy again. However, I've been able to work with him a little bit! Probably I should follow Cutler's advice and try to increase the dose a little bit. Warmest regards, > > . > I also have a ? I am only on Round 2 and fillings > have been out for 2 weeks now.
