Every 18-24 months is probably a better widow period for hair tests, as changes happen slowly. The 2nd hair test showed an increase in mercury as I was excreting more, but my mineral transport mechanism had improved with all the lines coming more central and showing more normal mineral transport (though I was supplementing well). My adrenal and thyroid indicators worsened however, stimulating me to pay more attention to these issues and sure enough there were problems. It seems this may be the only value in hair tests so soon after each other, as the ratio's are likely to change first. I'll do another one in 3-4 months and we'll see what happens there.
