I'm so impressed. I haven't sewn in years and back when I did sew I was lousy at it. Congratulations! It's so nice to finish a project like that. I love the pictures, Austin is a cutie pie and your hubby looks great too!

Jazz looks like a pretty big kitty. I miss having a cat though I admit I am enjoying having this little dog around.

Hope you're feeling good!

Hey Ya'll, Back in Jan. or Feb. I had mentioned I wanted to make a baby quilt and have it done before going to our Orlando gathering in March. First, I've never made a quilt before. Second, I haven't sewn much of anything in YEARS. Finally, yesterday, June 2, 2009 I assembled and sewed the top of my very first quilt ever. It's not perfect but I was proud of myself I even called my "Mama" and "Daddy" to tell them about it and sent a picture by cell phone. I hope to have it all complete by Sunday.**The funny (and not so impressive) part is that this quilt came in a kit that says "Quilt In A Day!" in big bold letters on the packaging :)I have another one to make and I have to have it completed by the end of this month for a baby shower a friend and I are hosting. I have no doubt now it will be great. I'll make sure to post pictures when I'm done with them both. Also, I finally posted a few pictures of my hubby, son and kitty

cats. Enjoy, 33 FLIPF dx 1/06

Beth,

The pic. of Austin and was taken about a year and a half ago. It was the

only on I could find on my laptop.

Jazz is my little giant,16 pounds. BooBoo is catching up at 10 pounds (she is 8

months younger than Jazz.) They are Siberian cats and can get quite hefty.

They're a natural Russian breed that are considered " hypo-allergenic. " They have

lower amounts of protein in their saliva that most people with cat allergies

react to. has horrible allergies to cats and dogs but no reaction to my 2

babies.

I saw the photo of your new pup. He's a cutie! I love dogs, especially small

ones. I just don't have the energy for them anymore.

I'm sure he'll bring you much much joy.

Hi ,Please publish your pics of your quilts asap---I'd love to see them.  I too quilt, although I haven't worked on one since year before last.  2008 was a real bad year for me and I just didn't feel like working on one.  I've made 9, so I still consider myself a beginner. Now that you've started, you'll not be able to quit.Good luck.Roxanne, 59, South Carolina

It's amazing isn't it how different people react to animals. You would never look at Jazz and Boo Boo and think "hypoallergenic" would you? Nor would you look at a dog like a poodle and think that either and yet they are considered hypoallergenic. When I first got sick pretty much everyone assumed that part of the problem was my dog and my cat. Everyone frantically ran around finding new homes for them before I was discharged from the hospital and as it turns out I'm not allergic to cats or dogs at all. Go figure.

Jed seems so far to be a really sweet little guy. He's a 'senior dog'...9 years old. I looked specifically for a senior dog because I thought the activity and energy levels might be a better match for this household and so far it's working well. Senior animals are harder to place too and shelters and rescue groups are thrilled to be able to place them in loving homes.

He's sitting here on the recliner next to me. It's nice to have company for the morning coffee and email routine!

.... aha! another handwork gal. I do lots of handwork too. Mostly crocheting toys (big ones) and embroidery.

Crocheting is easier on my hands than the embroidery and I have to finish up quite a few pieces for Christmas.

I have severe arthritis w/erosion so it's getting damned hard to do. This will no doubt be my last projects.

Yes, post a picture of your quilt...and one of you too.

Have a good day.

That's great ! What an accomplishment.

One of these days I better finish a quilt I started for my daughter

about five years ago.

Good luck with the second one.

Have a great day!

That's great ! What an accomplishment.

One of these days I better finish a quilt I started for my daughter

about five years ago.

Good luck with the second one.

Have a great day!

have it done before going to our Orlando gathering in March. First, I've

never made a quilt before. Second, I haven't sewn much of anything in

YEARS. Finally, yesterday, June 2, 2009 I assembled and sewed the top of

my very first quilt ever. It's not perfect but I was proud of myself I

even called my " Mama " and " Daddy " to tell them about it and sent a

picture by cell phone. I hope to have it all complete by Sunday.

kit that says " Quilt In A Day! " in big bold letters on the packaging :)
