Guest guest
Has anyone experienced or dealt with excessive phlegm (mucous) from the lungs???? What medications did your doctors gave? My dad has lung mets and needs to constantly spit out phlegm, especially in the mornings. He was on Avastin/Xeloda for a year, which seems to control this problem. But he was taken off chemo since he is currently doing radiation to treat a large abdominal met....as a result, the excessive phlegm started again. Thanks for your help. Guest guest
Hi Nickie, also had a lot of mucous and phlem. His pulmonary doctor ordered out a home neublizer and we put Albutrol and Azmacort in the neublizer. When the coughing got really out of control he also ordered lidocaine to put into the mixture. You don't want to stop couging the phlem up completely but it sure helps to get a good nights sleep. The albutrol helps get the phlem up more easily. Hope this helps, Joyce- -- In colon_cancer_support , Nic D wrote: > > Has anyone experienced or dealt with excessive phlegm (mucous) from the lungs????
