You are helping to make her journey as comfortable as possible. Hugs & Prayers, H , Those words are so true. Thanks You for saying them!! Ingrid EXACTLY You just take care of her. Talk to her etc. Talk about her feeling better and leave the how up to her and God. Whichever way it goes you just be there and you will have done your job. Healing means more than CURE. A person who passes on is healed even though that healing does not involve cure from our side of things. What we all want for our loved ones is healing and while it is so hard sometimes the only way that happens is for them to die and enter eternity whatever you believe it to be. Wishing I had kinder gentler words and hoping this doesn't hurt you more. The only comfort I had when my Dad died was that he was happy with his God and his suffering was over. ( his cancer had spread from his lungs to his ribs and hip joint). How we wanted that miracle and to see him healthy and well and back at the church he loved, but it could not be that way and even if could he would have had to suffer greatly to get there. Some of his last words were God help me The last thing I told him was HE IS DADDY JUST FOLLOW HIM!! He didn't answer he just looked at me with a mixture of joy at my getting it and sorrow that I had to get it, but it brought him some kind of peace. I returned home 2 days before he died so I was not able to be with him at the moment but it was peaceful with all the other kids (there are 8 of us) and my Mom by his bedside. He knew he lived a good life and we loved him. If you are there and you keep telling her you love her you will know you never gave up no matter how you feel right now.
