Guest guest
The Prep is no fun but if you do it as directed you should be done about 9 or 10 pm. Give yourself time to let your stomach settle and you should sleep fine. The test really isn't that bad they give you a sedative that puts you in a very relaxed drowsy state. It put my husband to sleep but not me but nothing hurt and I was barely aware of the whole thing. About the only bad part of the test is a little gas afterwards. I had one to put my self and my children at ease. I was clean and go back in 2006-2007 for a recheck. If the virtual is available and covered here I may do that but the standard really is no big deal. Actually it was worse getting an internal ultrasound for uterine fibroids OUCH!!! and that didn't even require prep and they don't give you ANYTHING. Wonder if Women's medicine will ever get more advanced when it comes to comfort. Anyway I digress the test really isn't bad. Afterwards they will want you to get a ride home as the drugs make you dopey and by the next day you should be back to feeling like yourself. Hope all goes well. Guest guest
Glad they got you in there right away. You will be relieved to know for sure what is going on. Getting it all done, at least your doc isn't going to fool around. Good luck with everything I will be thinking about you. Take care and big big big hugs for you. Guest guest
Donelle Was great to see photos of you and Glen on Jay's blog. I will have something for you by Thursday and then should have something to send Jay too. I know you said Glen was so thin, but could not visualize it until I saw the photo with him and his best friend. Sad to say I got tears in my eyes. You are right when you said Glen should write down or even speak into recorder so that his kids know all he did in his life. Something to cherish. Well I am going to read a bit and then go to bed. Take care and big hugs...Jolene
Guest guest
Hey it took me a year before I went. I need to schedule a check up for my high blood pressure and keep putting it off. Somewhere someone had posted that this is one of the pitfalls of being a caregiver. I just have no desire to be in a doctors office any more than absolutely necessary. I was really good about getting everything done last year and had a clean bill of health (except for the blood pressure) this time last year, had rechecks scheduled and canceled for March when my Dad died and haven't been back since last Sept.
