Is anyone aware of anything else for gentle support to assist with

lymph actions. I know I have sluggish metabolism (ie thick blood,

constipation) which is all related to my body not getting rid of the

bad stuff. As I undertand it the lymphs play a very important role in

carrying debris and toxins out of your body

I am seeing the lady dr in seattle next week for thyroid and adrenal

support. I will also ask her

----------Good. I'm sure she will tell you about castor oil packs for your

lymph system, so make sure you mention it. She will give you a handout on how

to do it. She will also prescribe DMPS, if you want to try that.---------Jackie

Thanks all

Rebounding and dry brushing are really helpful for lymph drainage

support. I do them regularly. Not sure if epsom salt bath is

directly helpful, but I do those too.

I haven't used cleavers, but I have heard of it for lymph problems.

There are a variety of herbs that are supposed to help, and I've

seen several combo products. The only combo I tried was a tincture

of echinacea/red root (Gaia), and I don't think it did a lot for me.

Echinacea alone can be helpful - personally, I have to be careful

not to use it for too long because it messes with my gut.

Castor oil packs are another essential management strategy I use,

along with the rebounding and dry brushing. I have also been using

guaifenesin recently - it seems to have helped with lymph flow.

Exercise, even mild, can help. Walking and stretching are especially

good, as well as rebounding. Even if you can't do much, it helps to

stretch, move, and use your muscles to the extent you are able since

this helps move the lymph.

Constipation can also be related to poor bile flow. So that

might be another area to work on.

If you mean , she will give you good advice on this

and other stuff, too. Hope you have a nice visit to Seattle.

Well, not sure what to tell you about it. You can find more about

this with online search. Basically, brushing the skin with a soft

bristle brush helps to stimulate circulation (blood and lymph) and

immune function. I have always read that it's important to start

at the extremities (hands and feet) and move toward the heart.

I don't know if that is essential, but I tend to do it that way.

I always do it before an epsom salt bath and sometimes before

showering. Could also do it before sauna. To me, it feels good

and I like to do things that feel good.

Like anything else, it is possible to stir things up when you first

start doing this, and I would suggest starting slow with it, just

try a small area first, maybe just one arm from the hand to the

forearm and increase gradually to the whole arm, then add other

limbs, and eventually the neck and torso.

Another way to help lymph flow is stretching, for example yoga

can sometimes be helpful. Of course you have to work within

your own limitations.

If you have trouble getting relief from lymph stagnation, you might

want to visit a massage therapist who knows how to do lymph massage.

They use pressure and release in specific areas to help encourage

lymph flow.
