a child, an ear - two days is an awfully long time

I expect she didn't notice it because it wasn't there...

Children get ill quickly and they get well quickly, unlike us slow old

adults :-)

So true, my DD was taken to the doctors one morning and ears were

clear, by evening had to take her to minor casualty screaming blue

murder - ear infection!
