Guest guest
Hi DeanSA, I should go read your site again, but I got thinking about the Reverse T3 and low body temps. So if I got this right, in 's Temperature Syndrome, the low body temps and hypothyroid symptoms are caused because of too much RT3? And I got the impression that this was only diagnosed by tracking your temps? Is there some reason this can't be diagnosed by measuring your RT3 levels? I haven't heard anybody mention RT3 in a long time or hardly never, but I do recall that the first complete thyroid panel I had done included this. So do most labs not do this test or is there some other reason it isn't done that you are aware of? Just curious. Also, do you know anybody who has had RT3 measured and used body temps and tracked them both during treatment? Thanks--------Jackie P.S. I also wanted to compliment you on putting together a wonderful website with so much valuable information pertinent to toxic people. You have done toxic people a great service, and thank you for sharing your knowledge here.-------Jackie

The body is stuck in conversation more of energy and instead of converting T4 into T3 (very active) it converts it into RT3 to slow down the metabolism as it there was a famine. >And I got the impression that this was only diagnosed by tracking your >temps? Low body temperature is what diagnoses 's Temperature Syndrome, with or without low thyroid hormones on blood test. The theory of WHY there are low temps is somewhat debatable. I favour Dr 's theory, though some favour Dr Lowes. >>Is there some reason this can't be diagnosed by measuring your RT3 levels? >>I haven't heard anybody mention RT3 in a long time or hardly never, but I >>do recall >>that the first complete thyroid panel I had done included >>this. Dr is not interested in RT3 levels, but there is a way to use the levels of RT3 and create a ratio of some sorts that gives you info. .. There is a group that discusses this http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ The say: This group is for help and support for hypothyroid people that cannot take natural thyroid due to T3 resistance or high RT3. It is fully moderated and friendly support is welcome from all! Tell us your T3 success stories! I'm going away for a few days, but maybe next week I can fill you in on what I know about it. Am trying to write an article on it. >> P.S. I also wanted to compliment you on putting together a wonderful >> website with so much valuable information pertinent to toxic people. All learnt the hard way I must say :-) And thanks to everyone else that I have learned from on this list and others. The internet is a real privilege.
