His personality sux, big time!! Dr. put him back on Immodium a week ago. He won't call the dr. b/c he's afraid he'll end up back in the hosp. He won't eat the B.R.A.T. diet... and now he's not eating much at all, b/c it'll just go straight through. He's been in bed, most of the time, the last 4 days. I have no clue what to do for him!!! He's waking me when he gets up 3-4 times a night, so I'm not getting my sleep, but still have to go to work. I stayed home yesterday thinking he might go to the dr. but he wouldn't/didn't even call him. I'm getting totally frustrated and so is he...is he just giving in and giving up?? He IS drinking Gatorade to try to keep from dehydrating. He's very, very weak and tired, but that's really not new. No one on this earth should have to live in the condition he's in...absolutely no quality of life at all. It's not fair...and it's not fair I have to watch him suffer so!! Definitely on the plus side, the pump is working both manually and on its own!! He hasn't had to get drained since the surgery. He has an appt. next Monday, for post-surgery check up. We don't have any dark stools to indicate additional bleeding in the esophogus. Thank God!! My scrapbooking for others part of my business has picked up again. I had one lady from Calif. send me 4 old albums and a couple envelopes of photos... for me to create new albums for her to give to her son one day. One envelope is full of old, old photos...one is 1879!!! I love doing this kind of thing, but right now I can't seem to find time to do all the things I need to do...but it keeps me busy and keeps my mind occupied, so it serves a purpose!! I just recently found a paper company that has come out with a line of Cancer Awareness Papers...it's so cool!! If anyone is in to scrapbooking and would like to see the papers, go to my website in a couple days and check them out. Great papers to make a layout, maybe as a memorial to someone, or photos of someone in different stages of attempting the cure, etc. I want to do one with Glenn before and after, b/c there is such a complete difference in his face and body. I want to cry when I look at him now!! They have only come out with 3 so far... and will be introducing 3 new ones next month.... I asked about Colon Cancer and she said that was coming in the next bunch (probably the end of the year or beginning of next). Sorry I haven't been around much....trying to keep up with the posts, but not responding to too many. Welcome to any of the new members that I haven't responded to yet. I'm still praying for everyone and adding the new ones that come on board...that's a given!!! Anyone heard from Narice and Phil, yet?? Guest guest
Buddy you got to get better dude. Donelle they gave Phil something called DIPHENOXYLATE for the runs if the Imodium doesn't work. It is 1 pill 4x a day. Call and ask them. If they are giving this to Phil as a just in case thing I see no reason why they wouldn't give it to Glenn. Narice
Guest guest
Donelle, I am so sorry that Glenn is still having so much bowel problems. I know you are worried sick about him. He has got to see the doctor. They have got to stop it somehow. I just wish Glenn was not so stubborn. I am Praying for him. It is good news that the pump is working and he does not have to endure the draining. Now if only he could control this other problem. And you must be so very exhausted from stress and no sleep. I am giving Glenn a lot of Prayers and also asking God to take care of YOU!!!! Guest guest
Oh Donelle Thanks for reporting on Glenn's condition. Seems that every time he takes a step forward, he ends up going two steps back. Poor guy. Hope that he will go to that next doc appt. Wish the diarrhea would go away. It has to be extremely depressing for him, and for you as well. You are right is no quality of life for him at all. Will continue my prayers for you and him.
