Guest guest
So, I read A LOT of good things about sweating to detox mercury. Seems to me like having an extra organ helping out should speed up effectiveness. I was checking out those EL Cheapo fold-up IR for $200-300. Then I googled something resulting in Cutler saying its not a good idea. Anyone have any experience with this? I want to sweat, but those spas are expensive. Would exercise be a bad thing(increase distribution) when first starting chelation?

Guest guest
I bought an infared sauna & I absolutely love it. I don't know about the ones that you are looking at. I know that Andy doesn't recommend them, but I honestly have no side effects & feel much better after using it. I do 30 min daily. I just assumed it would probably be safest to put it on hold for the first few months. Yah I can get by exercising, I feel great afterwards. but I did'nt want DMSA in blood to be carried to other parts of the body. I'll definitely get the sauna... thanks

Guest guest
Andy does recommend Saunas and has said it chelates well but he does not recommend Infra Red Saunas. There is a file on andy's comments on Saunas I believe in the file section. Colette I understand about the exercise thing. I have trouble. I do 5 minutes on a stationary bike 2x a day....just to keep moving. > I know Andy doesn't advise saunas, yet I've talked with many who have found them beneficial. I also read a story on another mercury forum by a mother who said her teen used nothing but a sauna and recovered. I bought one from www.nationalpoolwholesalers.com and have never regretted it. I actually feel better after a sauna. Some people don't though...it's all individual. > > I know a couple people who bought the portable saunas and have zero complaints. I haven't tried that kind. Guest guest
Andy's concern is only about IR saunas, as they don't heat the body uniformly. The classic Swedish sauna is fine, and can be helpful. It's what they use for miners who work in mercury mines. Make sure your sweating function works though. There are some teas that can help. I also found that replacing electrolytes was critical. Otherwise I would get headaches. Oh, and on exercise. Andy has suggested " moderate exercise " . I was not completely clear, but assumed that this had to do with most of us being adrenally insufficient, more than anything else. Dave.
