Mon Apr 7, 2008 5:56 am (PDT) In an attempt to get the mercury that was left by the last round with 33 mg DMSA every 4 hours (which made me feel a lot worse) I have started a round with 12.5 mg every 3 hours (been going for about a day now). Can't say it is helping yet. Since the middle of the last round, which was about a week ago my energy and muscle power has dropped noticeably, and I now feel much like I did one year ago when I was still removing amalgam fillings. Could this be due to adrenal problems ? I'm not doing much/anything for the adrenals (other than chelating, and a low carb diet). I have taken the saliva test and the results wasn't bad enough for my MD to give me anything. In my country treating adrenal issues is only done in very severe cases. - Kyrre

Since you used a higher dose on the last round and that is when your symptoms worsened, the dose is most likely the cause. It may take some time to get back to where you were and you are doing the right thing by returning to a lower dose. If you have adrenal problems, I think it would be harder to tolerate and recover from the effects of the higher dose, so this can also be a contributor. Do you find anything in the section on adrenal insufficiency in Amalgam Illness that fits you? > I'm not doing much/anything for the adrenals (other than chelating, > and a low carb diet). It can be hard to get proper treatment in this country, too. If you have results of a saliva test, you can post them for feedback. -- > - Kyrre >
Guest guest
Hi! I have been using 33 mg for some time without any major problems, that is why I suspect a change in how often I have to take DMSA. The former round of DMSA only (33 mg) I got worse during th round, but felt (relatively) ok again after a few days off. I will check to see if I can find the results of the saliva test. - Kyrre > > > > In an attempt to get the mercury that was left by the last round with > > 33 mg DMSA every 4 hours (which made me feel a lot worse) I have > > started a round with 12.5 mg every 3 hours (been going for about a > > day now). Sorry, I misunderstood. It is possible to have some rounds with worse symptoms. It is also possible to go through a period of several rounds or more with worse symptoms and you may want to reduce your dose for awhile when you are having more side effects. > The former round of DMSA only (33 mg) I got worse during th round, > but felt (relatively) ok again after a few days off. That sounds like a longer than normal recovery period after a round. If it were me, I would think about reducing the dose a bit for awhile. -- > I will check to see if I can find the results of the saliva test. > > - Kyrre
