tab is 50 mg. and the zinc amino acid chelate is 15 mg...to get to the

recommended dosage (is it body weight plus 20mg?, I think) are both

types considered equal...so 3 tabs of zinc citrate for a person whose

weight is 120 lb and 10 and a bit of the zinc chelate type?

I would use the one that is best tolerated, if there is a difference.

It sounds like the zinc citrate might be more convenient since fewer

tabs are needed.

With chelation is there ever a reason not to supplement zinc at this

level? Thanks guys. Helen

I think zinc is one of the more important supplements. If a person

really could not tolerate it in any form, then I suppose I would not

use it. Most mercury toxic people benefit from relatively high doses

of zinc.

Some people do notice queasiness, especially if not taken with enough

food. If that is a problem, I would spread out the dose over the

three meals of the day and also start with a small amount and increase

gradually.

The recommended adult dose for zinc is 50-100 mg/day (see pages 134

and 167 of AI). (Doses by weight are for kids).

I would use the zinc citrate because it's a higher dose, probably

cheaper, and citrate is usually well tolerated.

Zinc is one of the ones that Andy always includes in his bare minimum

chelation supplement lists.
