Guest guest
> Is it only CLO that does that to you? Well, I have not tried any other forms of Vit A, I'm not sure what else is recommended by Andy aside from Vit A derived from CLO. Vit A Palmitate maybe? > Have you tried different brands? I have tried 4 brands of Vitamin A. The latest being NOW Vitamin A Softgels, 25,000 U/Serving (from CLO). It also made me fell awful after 3 days. I can feel my body asking me for Vit A, my eyesight is going bad and I'm not sure what to do. Does anybody have any experience taking Vitamin A from Alpha/Beta Carotene. My understanding is that the CLO form is superior to the Carotene one. I don-no. 8( I feel fantastic when I drink fresh squeezed carrot juice, however is too expensive to do regularly. Guest guest
Hi , Now that you mention it, I think Vitamin A metabolism seems to be related to Mercury burden. I remember a few years back, before I knew I was mercury poisoned, I started taking Vitamin A and felt like I was about to die. Maybe I need to chelate more before supplementing with Vitamin A. Thank for the reply. Cheers, Vince. Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: mmc2315 I have read of other kids having a negative reaction to CLO on A-M, but I've never understood the reason why. ====>Most likely it's an inability to absorb fats properly or a fatty acid imbalance that causes this. Some people find if they use Acetyl-L-Carnitine with the CLO, it helps. Another treatment is to preload with substantial amounts of EPO for awhile, 6-8 weeks and then reintroduce the CLO. Either way, meanness in response to CLO means something is not quite right with a person's fatty acid balance.

CLO contains both DHA and EPA, so there may be an imbalance of these in the body that needs to be corrected before CLO is tolerated.----------Jackie wrote: > Either way, meanness in response to CLO means something is not quite right with a >person's fatty acid balance. I've never heard of this, interesting. You mean Omega 3s and 6s? --------Yes, I think this is what she means. I think it is discussed more on the A-M board, and I couldn't remember the details, so thanks ! I think Andy discusses some of this on pages 100-101 of AI, but I think there is much more about it over at A-M.----------Jackie
Guest guest
Marcia is right and makes a good point. You may want to read about the high dose Vit A protocol and also read and print out the Viral File over at A-M. Under " What are possible treatments? " , she talks about how symptoms from an anti-viral protocol can be worse than chelating. I do believe that there is some connection with mercury poisoning and having lingering viral problems. I truly believe this is part of my problem also. I don't know if it's a problem for everyone, but for me, taking lots of things to boost my immune system I believe has been very helpful. I should try more of the anti-viral protocol things, but I am currently taking 25,000 IU of Vit A per day, with no ill effects. Here are links to a couple of posts by Andy that I have printed out and keep handy. Gives some tips on what to take when you're sick.--------Jackie http://onibasu.com/archives/am/78179.html http://onibasu.com/archives/am/133461.html In frequent-dose-chelation Marcia wrote: Vitamin A can also kick start the immune system if taken in high doses and cause latent low grade infections to start being dealt with and causing die off symptoms. If you are dealing with mercury and chelating already, I'm not sure this is something you'd want to add if you are having this reaction. Maybe eat a handful of baby carrots every day, try to get it naturally. Marcia Hi , Now that you mention it, I think Vitamin A metabolism seems to be related to Mercury burden.
