First I'm so sorry about what's happening with Glenn, I really feel for both of you, your posts touch me so much. And about the hearing aids. My mom can hear much better using them, it's remarkable. They work well in the house, you can talk in a normal voice from across the room and she can hear, before you could stand behind her and talk and she didnt hear a thing. She tried them in the car last night and at bingo. Pretty good in the car, but buzzed at bingo, too many sounds I guess, but thank you so so much. It'll be nice that she can be a part of conversations now and hear what's going on. Thank you!! She has finished her chemo for now. Then she had a PET scan and the same spots showed in her chest, they think lymph nodes but probably not cancer as the size is the same as in her other PET scan. The onc. said she could have surgery to find out, but her surgeon (and us) dont want her to do this yet, as she has pulmonary embolisms when she has surgery, she's 85 years old too. So he is going to give her another colonoscopy Thursday, hopefully that will be good, and then a PET scan some time later to watch these spots. She's glad to be off chemo finally. I'll let everyone know how she turns out. Thanks again fof the hearing aids, you're a special special person. ~~Dianna Ooooh, Dianna...it doesn't take much these days, but you've made me cry " happy tears " ...Thursday would be Mom's 99th birthday...and what a great present, in her honor, to know that your Mom is able to hear better and be part of the discussion and not be embarrassed, etc. by not being able to hear...just thrills my soul!!! And I know Mom would be soooo very happy to know that one of my friends' Moms is wearing her " ears " ....she would always say in the morning.... " Let me put my ears on " ... Did they fit o.k. being 2 different sizes or did you get them refitted?? I kept wanting to ask you about it, but was afraid you were going to tell me she couldn't wear them or wouldn't wear them....Oh, I'm sooo happy, Dianna!!! Hope we can meet your Mom when we come to Gettysburg!! Tell her I'll continue to pray for her...hope she can stay off the Drano...and hope her poopy hole is clean as a whistle!!!! (CANCER FREE!!! Isn't that a wonderful phrase?) How is your Sister doing, Dianna? Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
