Guest guest
Child Of Our Time Wed 27th June Posted On behalf of Marie ANT I watched the above programme on Wednesday evening 27/06/01 (I have kept it on video). I have since discussed it with my colleague and we were particularly concerned about the claims made by Professor Winston. He stated that a child born by elective c/s has not had any stress during the birth and is consequently a calmer baby/child/adult. A child born by the 'normal' route will be more stressed because of the extremely high level of adrenaline experienced at the birth which will consequently imprint on their personality. Do you know where his research is from? Do we have any other research to refute this. I am starting a course next week and I am sure it will become a 'hot topic' - maybe even fuelling the debate about c/s on demand. Healthcheck watchdog Mon 18th June Does anyone know what happened about the poll? TIA Mann SAHM (by 1 week!)
