Guest guest
Thanks Ingrid, you are so sweet as is everyone on here. I really have tried to be tough about this but last night was too scary with the pain. I didn't know whether or not to go to the ER or call someone to take me or what. As many know, it's not fun going thru this by yourself. I guess somedays it might be better to be by yourself though!! haha thanks Ingrid Lowe lowenco@...> wrote: I remember reading at some point that the pain or burning in the stomach area is caused by the intestinal wall sloughing off. I think it had something to do with the chemo attacking those cells in the intestine. Those cells are a fast growing cells so chemo attacks those cells too. I too had a lot of uncomfortable burning in my stomach area while on chemo. Yes, I fully understand that feeling of being sick and tired and being tired of it. Just hang in there. And I must bring this up to you. Round six to twelve in chemo does not have to be the hardest. It can and might be just like the other chemo rounds. All that I noticed that the more into chemo I got the longer the tingling in hands and feet lasted. Everyone is different. And every chemo round is different. The later rounds towards the end of chemo do not have to be the roughest. It may just be like all the others. What they mean is that your body gets weeker from the chemo and it takes longer to get over the chemo. When it took maybe two to three days to feel like yourself again may take a day or two longer. Just relax. It may not be that bad for you. My last few chemo's were just harder for me to get over the side effects. You will make it through this. You have too!!! Stay strong and just realx and get the rest you need. Stop trying to push yourself. Just baby yourself and take care of yourself.
