Guest guest
Just got off the phone with Falls Pharmacy and they do compound ala at a very low dose BUT you need a friggin script so says the Gov't. For an antioxidant. Ugh! Anyway, the pharmacist asked me what brand I was using on my last round and it got me thinking. I had switched to tablets from Source Naturals that were 25mgs and I cut them with a pill cutter to get 12.5 mgs. Both times I got sick using them. However, I never got sick using Kirkman's ALA. Soo, she thought maybe the dosage was incorrectly marked and I got a really potent batch. Interesting that I only got sick using this particular brand. Anybody else notice any variance between brands? Val
Guest guest
I emailed a compounding pharmacist in the US recently who specifically told me he does NOT need a script to compound ALA. Perhaps Falls is being overly cautious - or is just wrong. Maybe you should try a few more before you give up. Guest guest
Could it have anything to do with them sending it over state lines? Because Val, you are on the East Coast, right, and is the only Falls Pharmacy the one in Washington state?---------Jackie In frequent-dose-chelation Dean wrote: I emailed a compounding pharmacist in the US recently who specifically told me he does NOT need a script to compound ALA.
