Guest guest
Donna, I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. Yes, I had several nose bleeds too during my chemo. Just slight ones and they stopped pretty fast. I would honestly reconsider stopping the OXY. It is a powerful drug but has been proven to help kill those stray cancer cells. As for the dry mouth anbd sore mouth I used childrens toothpaste. Could not tolerate adult toothpaste. Have you tried getting little candy drops to suck on. I bougth the Baskin/Robbins candy drops. They come in quite a few flavors. Found them at the Dollar store for less money. Please do not listen to the ONC nurse about the stomach problems coming more often. They may or may not. Each chemo round is unique and different. Talk to your doctor and see if he recomends reducing your OXY to reduce the side effects. That may help some. Of course it is always your decision but you do not want the cancer to come back with a vengence and then be asking yourself why did I not stay with the chemo regiment. That is how I convinced myself to stay with the torture of chemo. Just keep telling yourself ther is an end to the chemo. Just hang in there. Ingrid > > OMG.
