The Standard Process line is often recommended by the followers of

Weston Price. I actually read Dr Price's book myself and I'll grant

you it was very compelling. I tried to follow the guidelines, but no

matter how diligent I was, I didn't notice any improvement. The more

I studied the WAPF materials, the more I became convinced that they

just didn't understand mercury poisoning. So now I disregard the

" whole foods vitamins are best " philosophy.

On the other hand, Standard Process is a company of long-standing

excellent reputation. I approve their philosophy of only using

organic ingredients. The problem I have with their products, however,

is that they have so many ingredients in their formulas and I tend to

be very reactive. Also, they use a lot of porcine ingredients and I

don't eat pork. I still haven't managed to convince myself that using

porcine glands in supplements is a different thing than eating pork,

so I still stay away from them.

So, despite agreeing with a lot of the WAPF recommendations, I buy

regular vitamins from iHerb and follow Andy's supplement

recommendations.

I agree I find that most holistic views dont understand heavy metal

esp mercury poisoning. I eat 95 raw foods and belong to a group they

are raw chefs and all sorts of holistic people. I stop trying to

explain mercury poisoning and why no sun chlorella , large doses of

cilantro. I also continue to consume org eggs a few times a week and

sometimes do raw milk. I know that mercury poisoned people need more

animal protein than perhaps non poisoned people. I think it was Dr

huggins that stated that mercury poisoned people should not be

vegetarians. I dont thing anyone can understand the varied insults

that mercury has on a body unless you see the big picture. The funny

thing that I see signs of heavy metals issues on people all the time.
