Guest guest
, To add my two cents. I am mercury toxic and have liver issues. In my consult with Andy he said Chemical sensitivity is often mercury or mercury and arsenic induced. I am very sensitive to foods, and paints. Home depot is a difficult building for me. I find that by taking oregano oil the sensitivities gets better, I also find that while I am on rounds I need less fast phase one liver supplements. Good luck colette 2) Increasingly allergic reactions to meds, even ones I have been able > to previously tolerate. Also, sensitivity to cleaning agents and > sometimes perfume. Basically heading toward MCS.

This doesn't explain the MCS symptoms. And if this were true, I expect stress management strategies would help. I imagine you've tried that? Sick building syndrome at work? (The > aluminum in my deoderant?) Do you know other people who share the same work or living space with you who are also sick? A fractionated urine porphyrins test might be helpful in your case. I don't know the details, but this test can be helpful in diagnosing mercury problems. I believe it can also distinguish between different toxins, at least different heavy metals and possibly other toxins as well. It would give you more information. If you want to do this, I suggest you read Andy's comments on this from archives. It is important to do the test properly to get an accurate result. http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/ANDY_INDEX.html#fractionated_urine_p_tests You can also find some information on interpreting porphyrins tests in the files section of the autism-mercury group (search for porphyrins): http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/files/ > Anyway, these are just the alternative hypothesis I'm exploring, and > it's for the two symptoms above that I'm really trying to figure out the > likelihood of it being mercury. > > I think what might be particularly useful if there was some indication > of " success rates " by type of intial symptom cluster.
