Thanks, Helen > When I asked about this I found out that steam rooms are the least effective for removing toxins as compared to sauna. Wet sauna is hard on the adrenals, so dry sauna would be best. I think it was Bob who posted on the topic. You may be able to find the post by using www.onibasu.com, checking off all three chelation groups, and including Bob , steam room, sauna in the keywords. Bob is an excellent source for all sorts of sauna information. Some people can't sweat. They need to stay away from heat. For people who can sweat, the time is dependent on their condition. It is best to start with very short periods of time, build up gradually and replace water and electrolytes. A doctor is a good one to talk this over with, because some people may have conditions that would contra indicate sauna use, and doctors should be familiar with the cautions. I damaged myself by sweating too much (long story) - so I will always advise caution. J
Guest guest
, I can relate to this! years ago I fell for someone selling FIR heaters to use in a sauna configuration that was going to 'cure' my fibro. Well HUGE disaster, I ended up with horrible pain in places I never had before and had to see a rheumatologist and go on Rx pain pills for quite awhile and actually never did get back to baseline in some area's. Now I realize what happened, I was so loaded with old cracked, leaky amalgams and merc under leaking crowns and leaking merc in a root canal, an infection exploding in another old root canal, all that trying to sweat was just pulling toxins out everywhere and redistributing. Sauna's and sweating are another thing to me that can be very dangerous if you are severely toxic and have not removed your amalgams in my experience. Marcia I damaged myself by sweating too much (long story) - so I will always advise caution. J .
Guest guest
When there's water being used, whether it's in a steam room or sauna, there is the factor of how pure the water is too. If you don't know what's in the water, don't use it. : Donna
Guest guest
Hi : Could you give a brief account about how sweating caused you problems? I've had difficultly sweating since I became mercury toxic.....tried lots of epson salt baths and staying under hot blankets - unfortunately I always felt worse so I've now stopped doing that. Would like to know what harm this can do. By the way, I still don't sweat much. Donna
