Hello,

I recently joined your group and look forward to meeting everyone. My

name

is , I live in UT, I have two wonderful kids - (21 mo),

and unborn baby X :)- and I'm happily married to Mark :) I'm

preparing for the birth, chasing my toddler, and I also run a small

business from home. My

business is flexible so I am still able to be a stay at home mom and

spend

time with the kiddo.. and sometimes find time for my own hobbies!

I joined your group because I was browsing on yahoo and found it

interesting. I've never actually heard of NCT - I hope that's ok -

but I'm deeply interested in the subject of childbirth, and would

like to talk about it with others of the same interest. And if some

kind soul will tell me what NCT is I will be very grateful, lol.

:)

Because '' gives a website address at the bottom (maybe you didn't

scroll down that far?) plus, there have been a few others who've done the

same in the past. I might not be 100% sure, but I wouldn't mind putting

money on it! And even if it's not spam, it's only polite to ask before

posting such addresses. :-)

It's a post-Sabbath thing Sue and one I always regret on Sundays :-))

It's customary to have a *really long* Sabbath afternoon nap (a

couple of hours rather than my usual half hour or so I grab during

the week)...so on Sat night I can't get to sleep, then on Sunday I am

half dead.. etc etc :) Somehow, despite this, if we miss our Sabbath

afternoon snooze we are half dead all week so we must need it despite

the drawbacks!

I was also downloading norton antivirus because I thought I had a

virus, and on this painfully slow connection that took hours and

hours, so that kept me up too.

As to hot, yes it is but well, I have aircon in my bedroom so that

wouldn't in itself be a problem :)

Zehava is going home early (tomorrow)...she is going back to

Gateshead seminary on Tuesday so she needs me to take her here there

and everywhere today to get last minute shopping. * martyred sigh*:)

Welcome, ,

One more thing about the NCT is that it's British, so

nearly everyone here is British, excpet me (American, but I

live in London) and a few others, mostly from other

European countries. It's really welcoming and chatty and we

do talk a lot about birth and children and so on and

sometimes go into great raging debates about things on TV

here, but otherwise, it's more of a universal language,

this motherhood, thing :)

No, it didn't sound like spam to me. Others here work from

home and have that info in their sig line as well. Just

because she used her sig line in her first post doesn't

mean she's spamming us.

I'm actually not sure whether this is spam or not. There are lots of

indicators that it *is* spam - making a deal out of working from home in

the blurb, as well as the signature. But the key thing for me is that the

introductory post came two minutes after subscribing to the group. I think

this is fairly odd behaviour (but used by *all* the spammers), to be

honest, and it goes against netiquette which says you should get to know

the group a little before posting.

But, since she gave a decent (and less kitsch than most) introduction, and

asked about the NCT, I thought I'd give the benefit of the doubt for now.

Normally I just unsubscribe these posters, as well as all the posts

accusing them of spamming. Given that, after the warm welcome, I don't

think we'll be hearing much from in the future.

, if you have survived this baptism of fire, then welcome to the

group. We would love to have you join us, but we don't take kindly to

being used to build your get-rich-quick scheme. So as long as you take

this off your signature file, you will be accepted as a regular member and

are welcome to join in all of our conversations about babies, men and how

to survive them (usually by chocolate and alcohol).
