Guest guest
Hello, I recently joined your group and look forward to meeting everyone. My name is , I live in UT, I have two wonderful kids - (21 mo), and unborn baby X - and I'm happily married to Mark I'm preparing for the birth, chasing my toddler, and I also run a small business from home. My business is flexible so I am still able to be a stay at home mom and spend time with the kiddo.. and sometimes find time for my own hobbies! I joined your group because I was browsing on yahoo and found it interesting. I've never actually heard of NCT - I hope that's ok - but I'm deeply interested in the subject of childbirth, and would like to talk about it with others of the same interest. And if some kind soul will tell me what NCT is I will be very grateful, lol. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* in UT* @... http://guaranteedhomehusiness.com/0210 -- How to Work From Home Free Information. Guest guest
Can't argue with that!! I will be looking out for them now!:-) Kirsten > Because '' gives a website address at the bottom (maybe you didn't > scroll down that far?) plus, there have been a few others who've done the > same in the past. SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM! :-( In my capacity as a moderator, I should probably go and check these sites but I have to admit I rarely do - I usually just ban the person if they haven't already unsubbed (or one of the other mods hasn't beaten me to it). On the rare occasions I have (visited such sites) I've found schemes only applicable to the US and which pay in dollars cheques (checks) which are hardly worth the paper printed on post conversion to sterling. Has anybody ever bothered to look into it deeply? I know there are some here e.g who are prepared to give their opinion in return for something, presumably money? Are we all just being wise or naive? To my mind it's like those ads you see stuck on lamp posts - 'Earn 2000 a week working from home, phone XXX XXXX' -- Sue

" sites. And the only email address which appears on it is Desirée's. So I would say yes, spam. Ruthie

Strange woman. Speaking of strange women ;-))))))) what are you still doing up Ruthie? Is it that hot?? I know when we first arrived in Melbourne in Dec I used to get up in the middle of the night to enjoy the relative coolness although the back of my neck and my hair would still be sticky and hot. -- Sue
Guest guest
Welcome, , One more thing about the NCT is that it's British, so nearly everyone here is British, excpet me (American, but I live in London) and a few others, mostly from other European countries. It's really welcoming and chatty and we do talk a lot about birth and children and so on and sometimes go into great raging debates about things on TV here, but otherwise, it's more of a universal language, this motherhood, thing Phyllis P.S. >Do you really think so? How can you tell? I can never be >sure unless >they are really corney. >Kirsten > Oh, no, not again! SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM! :-( No, it didn't sound like spam to me. Others here work from home and have that info in their sig line as well. Just because she used her sig line in her first post doesn't mean she's spamming us. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
How about a standard mod reply - starting off with ' the NCT is a charity and donations are gratefuilly accepted'....Maybe we should put this on the blurb at the webssite telling people all about the list? Barbara .. > Lesley wrote: >Oh, no, not again! SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM! :-(

Guest guest
I'm actually not sure whether this is spam or not. There are lots of indicators that it *is* spam - making a deal out of working from home in the blurb, as well as the signature. But the key thing for me is that the introductory post came two minutes after subscribing to the group. I think this is fairly odd behaviour (but used by *all* the spammers), to be honest, and it goes against netiquette which says you should get to know the group a little before posting. But, since she gave a decent (and less kitsch than most) introduction, and asked about the NCT, I thought I'd give the benefit of the doubt for now. Normally I just unsubscribe these posters, as well as all the posts accusing them of spamming. Given that, after the warm welcome, I don't think we'll be hearing much from in the future. , if you have survived this baptism of fire, then welcome to the group. We would love to have you join us, but we don't take kindly to being used to build your get-rich-quick scheme. So as long as you take this off your signature file, you will be accepted as a regular member and are welcome to join in all of our conversations about babies, men and how to survive them (usually by chocolate and alcohol).
