Beverley, I know my situation is not the same as yours as I had my own hysterectomy after 8 kids, admittedly I was still quite young too (mid forties), but I do remember the feeling of loss and of choices being taken away forever, and I empathise. HUGS. However to put a positive slant on it, I feel so much better than I ever did before the op, and it's lovely not to worry about periods and contraception. I hope it all goes well. Take your time recovering, I tried doing too much too soon, although not all of it was voluntary; my mum had the first of many strokes only 8 weeks after my op and I was thrown into the role of carer instead of being cared for, including lifting her, which was very bad, but there was no one else at the time. So sorry to hear your news, Beverly. Will be thinking of you over the next few weeks. I hope it all goes well, and that you get a chance to have some rest afterwards. Good on you asking for help - a nearly 3 year old and a 1 year old are exhausting (though wonderful!) at the best of times, I know. Guest guest
Beverley, I am completely lost for words. I do hope it is all sorted out and you can enjoy your time with your children. I hope to meet you at the ball in October. Hugs -- Sue
