Her hairtest is positive for 2 counting rules for mercury, also positive for lead -----------If she does chelate, then she should use DMSA because of the lead, besides the mercury.-------Jackie and she is open for the low dose, frequent chelation but 5 y ago she had a bad experience with a doctor. He gave her wrong blood which was also overdated. She had kidney failure. Luckly she didn't need dialise but her kidneys are not functioning very good. Her creatine levels must be for her age between 1,23 and 1,3 but she's at 0,9... Is it dangerous for her to do chelation ? I am not 100 % sure and would like to help her... ----------I don't know for sure either Glenn, but at the low doses we do, it might be ok. But since I'm not sure, I have emailed this post to Andy, and hopefully he's available and can answer for us.-----------Jackie Thanks, Glenn

Also, removing mercury will help kidney function. DMSA/DMPS, on the other hand would need to be looked into, as they detox primarily through the kidney. She will need DMSA for the lead, though a to-be-avoided-unless-absolutely-necessary alternative is EDTA. I don't know if there is any reason the latter might be easier on the kidneys. Checking with Andy is a good idea. Dave.
