We've had an exciting afternoon - after dd1s last ballet class of the

term yesterday morning, her teacher called me back and asked if we would

be able to get to the annual awards day which was held this afternoon,

as dd1 was in line for an award. Since she's only in the nursery class,

and she's only been going for a term and a half, I was a bit surprised,

but as we hadn't got any other plans, we went along. (Wouldn't have done

otherwise, as sitting through an interminable presentation of exam

certificates with a four year old and an 18 month old isn't really my

idea of a good time!)

So, first surprise is that the awards are being presented by the

school's most famous old girl - Beckham! Then it turns out dd1

has won the award for the best pupil in her nursery class! So she was

presented with a silver teddy bear by Posh Spice herself! DH was beside

himself, and spent much of the rest of the afternoon phoning and texting

anyone he could think of who might be remotely interested. I'm still

slightly bemused by the whole thing, as I can't quite believe a child of

mine has managed to pull off something like that - she ended up sitting

on the school principal's lap during an enormous group photo that was

taken of the whole school. Oh, and the whole thing was being filmed by a

crew from LWT who are making a documentary about Beckham.

You should be very proud - she is obviously either very talented or a

real cuttie (or maybe even both).

What ever she has made your DH's year!

Oh cath that is wonderful (even though I am NOT a posh spice fan lol) your

little girl must have felt so happy and proud (and you to ;o) )

Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama

& expecting a Christmas delivery...

My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you

start.

So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake.

I feel better already.
