Guest guest
RICE REST ICE COMPRESSION (immobilize it) Elevation That's what they use for sports injury You might also try Aleve or something similar but if you just gave her someone else's meds maybe you shouldn't fool with meds for now. Guest guest
To do the compression try an elastic bandage but check it every so often if she has swelling. Try the ice and see if it helps might numb it. If not skip Narice

I was kept on Vicodin throughout my chemo. I have radiation damage to the nerves in my legs. I am still on it. It doesn't completely kill the pain, but it does make it bearable. Guest guest
Well I am just going to echo what the others have said. She needs pain meds and they can give them to her. They should have thought of it ahead of time. Thank goodness for the Decadrom they gave me ahead of time, that took care of all my aches and pains -- most NOT related to chemo even. LOL.. My heart goes out to your mom. You bug that doc for those pain meds. She needs to be comfortable and sure can't be if she is in pain. Take care God Bless and some gentle big big hugs for you and your mom.
