COMPRESSION (immobilize it)

That's what they use for sports injury You might also try Aleve or something

similar but if you just gave her someone else's meds maybe you shouldn't

fool with meds for now.

She absolutely must have pain meds. I was kept on Vicodin throughout my chemo. I

have radiation damage to the nerves in my legs. I am still on it.

It doesn't completely kill the pain, but it does make it bearable. Please,

please stay on that doctor until someone listens. Going through treatment is bad

enough without unnecessary pain.

Tell her we are all pulling for her!!!

Well I am just going to echo what the others have said. She needs

pain meds and they can give them to her. They should have thought of

it ahead of time. Thank goodness for the Decadrom they gave me ahead

of time, that took care of all my aches and pains -- most NOT related

to chemo even. LOL..

My heart goes out to your mom. You bug that doc for those pain meds.

She needs to be comfortable and sure can't be if she is in pain.

Take care God Bless and some gentle big big hugs for you and your mom.

Deb... you might want to ask dr. about her wearing the stockings on a

regular basis.... helps keep swelling and pain down....My Mom wore hers every

day

and she used that " Icy Hot " on her knees and it seemed to help a lot.

Wasn't your Mom dx with Cong. Heart Failure?? Or do I have your Mom mixed

up with someone else's....I'm so confused these days...not being able to keep

up with everyone!!
