Guest guest
You know my mom just had treatment this week, starting on weds and last night she was in horrible pain. Same area as you. She also has the same treatment as you too. I would be curious to here if this is common.

It feels like my lower abdomen is raw inside. They put me on Cipro (an antibiotic) and concluded that it could be an inflamation caused by the chemo. On Monday, I went to my oncologist for what was to be my third chemo treatment. He decided I was too sick to have chemo this week due to the pain in my abdomen. He said that the chemo may be too toxic for me and that he may have to lessen the amount of the drug. I am not sure which one he is thinking but I am on Avastin plus Oxaliplatin/Leucovorin and 5FU (three days every other week). Has anyone else had this problem? in California ... hope you are feeling a little better by now....and even more so tomorrow!! Glenn always bounced back after missing a chemo treatment... it just gives the body time to recover a little more. Drags the time out a bit more, but that can't be helped sometimes. Glad he put you on an anti-biotic!! Rest that ole body girl!!! LOL Don't forget to " remind " your Onc. when you go back that he was considering lowering the dosage...they forget!!! Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn

Guest guest
, I do hope you are feeling better now. So sorry you had such a bad reaction. Hopefully by reducing some of the chemo drugs you will not go through this again. Hoping the best for You.
