Guest guest
Hi , I just started my second round of chelation so I'm definitely not an expert by any means. The only thing I hesitate with your URALYT-URATO is that it contains sacarine. Is that saccharin? If that's the case, it may feed any yeast or fungi infections you most likely have with mercury toxicity. If you email me your address, I can send you a box of the Alka Seltzer Gold so that you can try it out. Take care. However, in Spain it is not available. Moreover, due to the rigidity of our customs, it doesn't seem easy to order it from the US. So I should try to find something more or less equivalent to it. According to Alka Seltzer's web page, in one tablet of alka seltzer gold there is: Anhydrous citric acid 1000 mg. Antacid Potassium bicarbonate 344 mg. Antacid Sodium bicarbonate (heat-treated) 1050 mg. Antacid According to AI (p. 148) the active ingredient of Alka Seltzer is citrate. In this case, citrate = anhydrous citric acid? Any other citrate will work as well, like sodium citrate or potassium citrate? Is important the specific combination of ingredients in alka seltzer gold? For example, I have found a product (URALYT-URATO) used to dissolve kidney stones whose ingredients are Citric acid 18,44g/100g Potassium citrate 81,46g/100g Sacarine. Should I try it? Guest guest
Hi Carlin, Thank you very much for your answer and your nice offer. You are right, I should have written saccharin instead of sacarine. I have just found another drug (Acalka) which contains 1,08g of potassium citrate per tablet and nothing else. It is also used for kidney stones. Probably I should try this one. Warmest regards, > > Hi , > I just started my second round of chelation so I'm definitely not an expert by any means. Guest guest
I too sort of have this same dillemma......only different. At Health recovery Center, they used to have folks do their own allergy testing, sort of as a trial, and they routinely used ALKA SELTZER GOLD all the time form when someboyd had an allergic reaction, to lessen the symptoms. The stuff works. However, I can never find Alka Gold, andon the rare occassions that I do, it is too expensive to afford anyway Even just Sodium Bicarbonate (plain baking soda) can help me a lot....mostly from food allergy attacks, but they can be severe for me. I often mix it (baking soda) with a little KoolAid (contains citrc acid) and add some stevia to make a decent tasting drink out of it. I am not so sure that Potassium Citrate is the same thing as potassium bicarbonate....sounds like it is more acid (to break down alkaline stone deposit, I surmize) Anybody else know??? QUESTION: Does anybody now where to get plain old potassium bicarbonate? Thanks, Inga > Dear friends, > > Trying to find some relief to brain fog......... > .... > According to Alka Seltzer's web page, in one tablet of alka seltzer > gold there is: > > Anhydrous citric acid 1000 mg. Guest guest
High doses of vitamin C work for brain fog too..then of course, chelation. Can you try taking ascorbic acid about 1000mg four times a day?? I would not try a concoction..it might not work right. Do you have any antacid products in Spain that are similar in ingredients? That might be an option. > > Dear friends, > > Trying to find some relief to brain fog, it seems that alka seltzer > gold should be tried. However, in Spain it is not available. Guest guest
- I definitely am rather new to mercury poisoning and I have found Lugol's Iodine has helped me a lot. Check out the Iodine group to get more professional information. Also, Andy Cutler has a book out and offers lots of other things to do; just depends on finances. Also, they came out years ago about saccarin; to stay away from and any other sugar free things. Might check for aluminum also. -- In frequent-dose-chelation , " Jada " wrote: > > High doses of vitamin C work for brain fog too..then of course, > chelation. Guest guest
Hi , Well, my experience with pharmacists is not very good. If I ask them for an antiacid of course they will have plenty of them, but they will have different ingredients. If I explain them that I want Alka Seltzer Gold for my brain fog, they will think I am mad! I prefer to consult the vademecum of drugs available in Spain. It can be accesed online at www.vademecum.es. One can search there all the drugs in Spain with a particular ingredient. So the point here is to know what are the key ingredients in Alka Seltzer Gold for brain fog. I think this will be useful not only for me, but also for many other people outside the US, where ASG is not available. By the way, it would also be very nice to understand why ASG is useful for brain fog. I am very curious about it. Thank you in advance, P.S.: I tried potassium citrate yesterday (1080mg). The effect is not immediate. But I think that after some hours I started to feel better. It lasted all the afternoon. I have some concern about it because it is said it can worsen adrenal problems. Does ASG have a more immediate effect? Do you use it daily? > > > > > > Hi , > > > I just started my second round of chelation so I'm definitely not > > an expert by any means. Guest guest
Hi Jada, I am already on vitamin C (3-4 grams). In the beginning I found it had a very strong effect on me (but not so much with brain fog) but now it seems I am used to it. Maybe I should increase the doses? I am also on other supplements(B50, magnesium, zinc, chromium picolinate, milk thistle), trying to follow Andy's suggestions. I will add more as I have access to them. I have found slight relief when adding chromium picolinate. I am in the middle of the process of removing amalgams, so I have not started chelation. Relief for brain fog comes just when starting with DMSA or one have to wait to ALA? Some have to be careful about adding potassium and others are low in potassium as well. Na and K need to be in balance and it is adrenal hormones that keep them that way. Cortisol, for example, tells the kidneys to retain Na. Deficiencies of aldosterone causes the kidneys to lose salt, leads to low BP, high pulse. At one time I used alka seltzer gold every day. I don't seem to need it as much now. In fact, I seem to need to limit sodium at present. J > Does ASG have a more immediate effect? Guest guest
, I was told that Alka Seltzer Gold helps in hastening relief from symptoms due to chemical exposures (I have severe sensitivities). I never tried it for that, but was also told that Tri-Salts are basically the same. I've taken Tri-Salts and they do seem to help clear symptoms, but I've never had any relief from brain fog with any treatment or product of any kind, so I can't recommend it for that reason. Of course, we're all different, and my neurotoxicity is very severe. I get the Tri-Salts from Bio-Tech at: http://www.bio-tech-pharm.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=136 : Donna >> wrote: So I should try to find something more or less equivalent to it. >>According to Alka Seltzer's web page, in one tablet of alka seltzer >>gold there is: >>Anhydrous citric acid 1000 mg.
