Guest guest
Well folks, I have the best news in the world today, Went to onc. I had a ct last week, had to go back today and see what it said. NO CANCER ANY WHERE. I had 9 of the 12 sessions of chemo. Had problems and had to quit it. I ask him how important was the 12 sessions, said he couldn't say they had only tested with 12, so now i know 9 can do it. for the 2 new members today. I had rectol cancer. took chemo and rad for 4 weeks, 3 times a week. to shrink the tumer so the dr. could operate and take it out and reconnect me.I was suppose to have another few weeks of that, but got sick from it, had a small bowel obstructon and infection in the port, had to take that out. was in the hospital for about 8 days with all that. he did the operation ok, had 3 of 9 nodes with cancer, so had to take the chemo for 12 sessions, (only did 9 of them.) I refused the radiation this time. now have to wait 4 more weeks to get this chemo out of my body, and have the resection of bowels done. have lost most of my hair, just bought me some new hair last week. ha ha. had to take the shots for White blood cells, and 2 so far for the red blood. the white shot had made me sick for about 3 days.they did my blood work today, and the red is down some , so have to take a shot for that. that one is ok.. go back to onc. in 3 months. some days have been rough, have layed on the couch a lot.told my husband by the time this is over with we would need a new couch. lol.I have a colostomy, it isn't so bad. when i hear of Karma haveing burning bottom, i'm about ready to keep it. ha ha. Keep the faith folks, maricles do happen. Nsancy - hanky

Guest guest
Thanks Donella, I stopped at the store on the way home and got me some brocolli, and vegies and fruit. trouble is with this colostomy, not suppose to eat the raw things. ha ha. I do anyway. i love salads, said not to eat the lettuce, it might get stuck in the stoma. I really try to chew things up better then i used to. Hope Glen is doing ok, and you aren't working too hard on the party. you have to enjoy it also, not be wore out. Good luck to both of you, , - Hanky
