Guest guest
Oh my gosh, I'll be thinking about her all night until I hear from you tomorrow morning. Your poor mom and all of you, it just never seems to end for your family. I hate that she's in such pain. ~Dianna deb vamdembos debbied31@...> wrote:Ok , Joe got home from the mall with kids about 8pm , he went in and checked on mom , and then came into our bedroom and said she needs to go in. He had explained about the chemo and the lining of stomach which we already new ( I should be a nurse ) 11:30 they say have to run blood tests and urine test , would take about an hour and she may have to stay overnight to get rehydrated. I have come home to put the kids to bed , mom and dad are still there with instructions to call me if anything different comes up. Guest guest
Deb Sorry to hear mom had to go to ER. But just as well, but shame that took so long to get them to start anything. Hope something good comes from this visit. Yes her stomach pain is a worry... Hope they can figure out what is causing it. Take care God Bless Jolene

God I wish I could do something because I know exactly how helpless you must feel. I do know that colon and lung cancer can cause mets to bones liver and each other. ie: Colon cancer to lungs and lung cancer to colon. I trust you still have my phone number so don't be afraid to call. HUGS Narice

Guest guest
Deb, there's so many people here going thru this crisis with you, your mom and Amy too. I wish there was something we could do, but we can sure be here for you at least. Thinking of you and your mom and Peta and Amy. ~Dianna deb vamdembos debbied31@...> wrote: Well, this morning my mom was horrible confused she was calling for my father ( who was holding her hand ) and when the nurse asked who was holding her hand she pulled away like she didnt recognize him , She was also calling for my Uncle Jack , who lives in Alabama and who is dads brother , I have no idea why. They are doing a CT scan on her head tonight , to see if we can figure out whats what. Although late this morning my Joe came up and she recognized him, and asked where the kids were (good ole grandma worried about the kids) She is STILL having EXTREME diarrhea , they have a potty right next to her bed , and most the time she still has accidents trying to get out of bed ( she needs our assistance) its absolutely heartbreaking , she said tonight that she thinks she is dying , I of course told her no way your to stubborn , but I swear to God not I , Joe , nor my husband know if she is gonna make it out of the hospital she is THAT sick. The oncologist came by and she told him that she isnt doing no more chemo and he said thats fine , he also said its EXTREMELY rare for someone to be this sick on the chemo she is on ( carboplatin, taxol for lung cancer ) he said he does not know why she is still having extreme diarrhea , why her stomach hurts ,and asked if she ever had history of liver disease , no she hasnt. I am SERIOUSLY concerned that the cancer has spread , do you get diarrhea from liver disease? hell i dont know , me and dad are going to start taking shifts up at the hospital , although neither of us can do the night shift ( Joe works nights I have to be here with the kids ) and dad is OLD hell I just realized he is almost 80yrs old!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those that have replied to my posts please know that I Thank you from the bottom of my heart and truly appreciate it them, For those who have posted with their own worries, PLEASE know that I hold you in our prayers , I just cant seem to find the strength to reply forgive me Deb 33yrold husband Joe, was diagnosed with CC in Sept, resection on Sept 27th 2004 found mets to the abdominal wall lining 3 lymph nodes involved open wound from infection until Jan 2005 Ileostomy reversal Dec 7th 2004 Chemo regiment begun Jan 2005 5fu/levorican/Oxaplatin/ Avastin added Feb 14 2005 (Happy Valentines Calcium Magnesium added for the Tingles Feb 28 2005 Ct Scan done March 23rd 2005 , 16 millimeter cyst like object on liver found April 1 2005 PET scan done awaiting results April 11 PET SCAN SHOWS NED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
Oh Deb, your poor mom... Is crazy how things can go haywire so fast. I sure hope she will be okay but I can sure understand why she might feel she is dying. Sure hope the cancer hasn't spread but is a possibility if Dr is even wondering about the stomach pain and the extreme diarrhea. More truth to the saying Cancer Sucks!! Big Time... Continuing prayers for your mom and for the family. God Bless and Hugs Jolene Dianna Brendle wrote: > Deb, there's so many people here going thru this crisis with you, your > mom and Amy too.
