rounds have you done, and how long post amalgam removal? When I tried

only 6mg of ALA with DMSA, it really wiped me out too. I took that as

a sign that I was not ready to add in ALA yet, and need to do more

chelation without it. If your symptoms are too much and/or are

getting worse, then maybe you need to lower your doses or drop the ALA

for now.--------Jackie

50 mgs DMSA and 50 mgs ALA. I started at 12.5 mgs DMSA and worked my

way up to 50 mgs DMSA, then added 25 and then 50 mgs ALA.

adrenals, and could make them worse, if they aren't treated. And many

people say that yeast and gut problems get worse on a round, and have

to treat them while chelating, or continuously, to keep it under

control. I think yeast and gut issues usually get better the longer

you chelate. So your doctor may be right, or it may be both, I don't

think anybody can tell you for sure.---------Jackie

All I can say is that within a few hours of starting a round, I feel

extremely achy, and can barely do anything.

--------I personally have very little experience with ALA, so hopefully others

will comment, but you can always try cutting back your dosages or doing a round

with DMSA only, and see if it makes any difference. And you could also review

your supplement list, and see if anything there might help.--------Jackie

I definitely have leaky gut. I try to stay on an allergen free diet,

with varying degrees of success.

----------If you have leaky gut then you definitely have gut problems, like

candida, and maybe others. Chelation can stir up yeast and probably other

things, so your doctor may be right that you need to work on your gut. Any

stress, like food allergies and gut problems, is stress to your adrenals, so

affecting them also.---------Jackie
