Guest guest
Hi Jen- Either they don't know Graves' is an autoimmune disease or they're assuming that you don't have any more antibodies after you had RAI. I wanted to give blood after 9/11 and, at first, they thought it was OK once treated but when they found out that Graves' is an autoimmune disease, they wouldn't let me come in. Take care, Re: can we give blood? > I had RAI, april 2001, never heard anything about antibodies till this board, I haven't had a chance to ask my newer endo about this, but the blood bank that I go to says I can give blood. > > Jen > > >
Guest guest
Thanks guys, what we learn here is really great. My hubby said I get to much email, but I said I'm learning things that I didn't know before and wish I did. I will further investigate giving blood. I am seeing an optho tomorrow that is supposed to know about TED, and antibodies, I will see what he says about blood too. Thanks, Jen
