Guest guest
I was like this..up all night, sleep all day thingy, or couldnt stay asleep and took forever to fall asleep. The only thing I have used for my adrenals is nutricology adrenal cortex. I did try Ashwaghanda recently and boy did not like it. It made my feel worse. Licorice root will stimulate your adrenals. That is why your sensitive. Taking the ACE during the day..before 3pm can help reset the cortisol rhythm. I would also suggest adding melatonin for a while at night..to get yourself used to sleeping again. > > I hope someone can help with this question? I have elevated corisol at > night. Guest guest
Jada, do you mind telling us how much ACE and melatonin you are/were taking?--------Jackie In frequent-dose-chelation Jada wrote: I was like this..up all night, sleep all day thingy, or couldnt stay asleep and took forever to fall asleep. Guest guest
I began with one cap of ACE in the morning. After a about a week I added a second around 3pm. I have not needed more than 2 per day unless I was post round. Sometimes following a round for a day or so I might need three per day, of if I have been sick. But then after a few days I could go back to one or two. How much you need will depend on your own adrenals. For example, my dtr takes 4 caps a day. So you begin with one..and add one when you notice the amount your taking is not working so well. I use Nutricology. It has 250mg per cap. The Thorne brand has I think 50mg and seemed to cost more overall. Currently, I don't need the melatonin anymore, now that my sleep pattern is normal. I take one cap of adrenal cortex in the morning, and pregnenolone for my adrenals, alone with thyroid glandular. Melatonin..1 mg was enough to knock me out. Take it about 1/2 hour before you want to sleep. And also remember for healing adrenals you need to get yourself in the habit of sleeping by 10pm! Aiming for 8 hours a night. No caffeine..it burns up the adrenals faster. Some people need more than 1 mg..you can go up to 5 or 6..whatever it takes to knock you out and or keep you out for the night. As time goes on and chelation gets on, you will find you don't need it anymore. When I first began using dmsa, I found it made me unable to sleep well at night. Same with my kids..they had trouble falling asleep. Using the melatonin got us through that. After enough rounds, it stopped interfering with sleep. The ACE itself is what made me get to sleep in 10 minutes and stay asleep. It used to take me hours to fall asleep, and I'd wake up a lot at night. Once I got the adrenal support going..I was finding myself waking up earlier, staying asleep at night and falling asleep quickly. > > > > I hope someone can help with this question? I have been thinking of taking Ashwaghanda too, but after researching it i decided not to because of what it might do to me. i cannot handle sulphur foods and thought i might get a similar reaction.
