Guest guest
Check food intolerances, its a blood test IgG Delayed Food Allergy test from Great Plains Laboratory or Immuno Labs ( through directlabs.com if you don't have a doctors consent) It could be a yeast intolerance which also make Candida worse. It could also be other food intolerances that cause hives & fatigue among other things. > > Hello everybody, thanks to everybody posting on this forum.. > > I am a 21 years old guy with a persistent case of candida, the > symptoms which relate to my condition are: > > -chronic rashes or hives every time I heat up or exercise > -very sympathetic dominant, hard to relax and take it easy even if I > am tired (I guess this relates to messed up thyroid and adrenals) > -have had severe acne for 4 years, very poor blood circulation in > feet and hands, dandruff (every possible skin problem ) > -frequent urination > -small muscles and little hair growth (low testo maybe) > > Some psychological problems: > -poor short term memory > -Have been very shy throughout infancy and puberty > -minor obsessiveness > -feel very very mentally alert, almost like hyperactive, have no > impaired cognitive abilities, however I cannot focus at all.. > -bad self-esteem > > As I have been following the anti-candida trail for about 2 years > with some degree of success (I am more outwards and easy-going, my > acne has ceased, etc.) but with still subsisting hives and skin > problems I am beginning to question why my candida and my symptoms > have bothered me so much and won't subside. > > I have had one amalgam filling when I was 9 years old, however it's > not there anymore, and I cannot remember if a dentist has changed it > with a white composite filling. Guest guest
Phil, I'm really impressed that we're hearing from a guy your age who's in touch with his body & taking responsibility for himself. I'm a mercury toxic mom, probably much like yours, and have a son a couple years older than you who'd really relate to your symptoms & health background. We first learned about my mercury issue in the months before he left home. He had a lot of allergy testing done, but he's in college in a very intense program, and I know how difficult it is to be attentive to lifestyle issues at this time in your life. Had I been persistent at age 21 about health problems, as you are now, many health issues for myself and my kids might have been averted. Yet, there was virtually no information on mercury toxicity that I would have had accessed. There's a lot of wisdom in 's response and that should help guide you in the right direction. The one thing I'll add is that if you haven't already, try strictly eliminating wheat & dairy for a month, then add one back one month, followed by the other. Keep a record of any changes in your symptoms, because inability to break down gluten and casein from these foods are so often involved and can be the source of many symptoms. (Yes, my son is sensitive to both, but avoiding them in real life isn't something he's been motivated yet to do. He'd gone on to develop sensitivities to many foods by the time we knew about this.) Your inability to eat sulfury foods is a bit telling & suggests you have limited function in at least one of the phase II liver detox pathways. A clue for me is pickled herring - I could never tolerate it, even as a kid, and discovered now than it's part of a whole class of foods that always did give me trouble. Do you have the " Amalgam Illness " book yet so you can study liver function? When you're getting a rash, it's safe to assume your body is trying to get rid of something (think of your skin as a 3rd kidney). If you can find some form of exercise or activity where you can build up your time at it so you're pulling a good 30-40 minute sweat every other day, followed by a thorough shower, you may be able to ward off the rash as well as cleanse your body of the toxin. You might be low in an amino acid called creatinine and you can supplement that before workouts, helping your muscle tone to build up. Just be judicious about where you're getting your supplements - the fewer additives the better. Many of us take Epsom Salts baths as an alternative to exercise. I'm certain I've read somewhere that nickel can inhibit growth of hair. It will be interesting to hear of any changes you experience when you get rid of that crown. It wouldn't be a surprise to hear there's mercury underneath it, either. A number of my crowns have had mercury underneath, including a gold one. We are also of Scandinavian decent, at least in part, and I grew up in a town mostly settled by Norwegians still speaking the language. I still remember songs we were taught. There's no place in the world I'd rather visit than Norway! Yah! But if only I could eat the food! Guest guest
Thank you very much for responding to my message, Joanne. I would be curious to know what symptoms your son is experiencing. It seems likely to me that mercury can agitate a lot of different reactions in different persons, but skin reactions appear to be common for a lot of people. Do your son also have skin related issues? And I can relate very much to your son; it is indeed not easy to be health conscious when you are young and are supposed to be vital and active. For me however, the symptoms are extremely debilitating for me mentally - having had constant skin issues (acne, urticaria, blushing) since the age of 16 and thus affecting my confidence in a very bad way - so the motivation to get rid of it is immense. I haven't been able to exercise this autumn due to the extreme mental anguish my hives cause. At least I feel that all this health searching will pay off soon. Because I have been trying to cure my candida for approximately two years without success I have come to the conclusion that my issues must be targeted elsewhere. And Mercury seems more and more likely to me. I have already booked an appointment with a biological dentist so we'll se what that may bring.. By the way great to hear that you are of Scandinavian descent! Norway is not to be missed if you love beutiful scenery and nature, fjords, mountains. you have probably seen the postcards:) However, things are very narrow-minded compared to the US (imho) due to the immense oil reserves we've got. Lol, I agree with you regarding the foods. Through centuries Norwegians have survived mostly on barley porridge with whey, spoiled fish and pork blood.. Greetings from Phil. > Phil, I'm really impressed that we're hearing from a guy your age > who's in touch with his body & taking responsibility for himself. > I'm a mercury toxic mom, probably much like yours, and have a son a > couple years older than you who'd really relate to your symptoms & > health background. Guest guest
There seems > to be so many cursors pointing towards the mercury issue, so I just > need your advice regarding my situation. Your description of symptoms sounds a lot like mercury. > I have also done a hair mineral analysis (trace elements, inc.) which > indicates no exposure of heavy metals in hair, but with wacked up > mineral ratios, esp. ca/mg, ca/k, na/k. You can apply the counting rules to a Trace Elements test, or if you want to post a pdf of your hair test (see the files for how to do that) someone can interpret it for you. > Anyone who could point out mercury's possible role in all of this? Mercury screws up your brain, your liver, your immune system, your endocrine system and lots of other things. Amalgam Illness gives more details. > Could it hurt just to try to take ALA round the clock? Other > therapies? Advice? Please, I feel like I'm near my wit's end > sometimes... greetings from phil from norway (excuse if my english is > not that great all the time..) Where should I start? Start by reading through the book and the files before trying any chelation, and ask questions to be sure you understand what you are doing. It's good that you have plans to check with a biological dentist to be sure you are amalgam free. Very important. There are lots of things you can do to improve your symptoms even before you chelate. Start with the supplement recommendations in Amalgam Illness p. 133-134. --
