Guest guest
I won't be posting as often as I do at home; for two main reasons, first, the connection here is *very* slow as I don't have adsl and I think Israel has a blockage somewhere! and secondly I am meant to be *doing* things, like having a holiday. But since my kids sleep till lunchtime I do have time to play on the puter if I want. It's just so darned frustrating with this slow connection! Yeshaya is being happier than I thought. He felt very badly done to, and missed his friends, and only came with us at all due to lack of an alternative. But he loves this house, and DH has been in a good holiday mood and generous with gifts; he let Yeshaya have a Play Station, but as yet we haven't managed to connect it to the TV. No doubt it will all get sorted eventually. Today was mostly just stocking up the house. I slept a bit in the afternoon and then we all went to the local mall, a place you could almost think was like British shopping malls except it takes hours to get into the car park due to security checks on each car, and you walk through an airport-style ray checker at the door, plus your bags are checked by armed guards at every store. (I'd rather have this, than shop in an open air market which is much more risky for terrorism.) But joy of joys for us, we can eat out at the mall at a choice of lovely kosher restaurants; tonight we ate fit to burst of Thai/Chinese . I keep remembering things I left behind in London, like my reading glasses, the charger for my mobile, and the USB connector for my digital camera so I can upload pics, but luckily Tavya and Dov and Rafi are coming out tomorrow and will bring any forgotten items. I hope to go swimming tomorrow morning, there's a lovely open air pool a short drive away. I go early, and come back before the kids even surface.
