How to get Maternity Allowance?

Does anyone know how to claim Maternity Allowance?

With DS, my employer told me I didn't have the right to any money (I

hadn't been there long enough for SMP) and stupidly I didn't

investigate any further.

Reading the last NCT magazine, it seems that I should have been able

to claim Maternity Allowance for 18 weeks.

Does anyone know how to get an MA 1 form, and where to find my local

Benefits Agency? Help... I'm a foreigner...!
