I know I don't drink enough when on chemo because of the side effects of oxaliplatin (sensitivity to cold/neuropathy) and also because water tastes like poison. I didn't know how important it was until your post. Hope you are doing better. in California Oh, ...it is soooooo important in so many ways!!! Glenn is right with you on the water tastes like poison....LOL Flushing that real poison (the chemo) through and out of your body is so important!!! Hope you can make friends with water!! Guest guest
I started drinking at room temp and then found some crystal light and some other type of green and berry tea packets that you can drop in a bottle of water. They are individual/one serving packets. I think I found them at Sam's Club. Also found some syrup that is sugar free. They have a few different flavors and it is used for flavored coffee or latte drinks. I had read somewhere that dieters use it in water - pretty good to break up that taste. Guest guest
Thank you Donna, I have another infusion tomorrow. I'll look for those ingredients, but don't have a sam's club. Maybe the local coffee place can point me to it. Guest guest
Len, I have not looked in the grocery store for either product but they might be there. I found my syrup at a place called World Market...in addition to a bunch of other stuff they sell, they have a decent selection of teas and coffee and these syrups - regular and sugar free!!
