MB are you leaving tomorrow???  Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida,  IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."  ML,Oh my precious friend. You make me cry and then laugh out loud all in a few sentences. The mental picture of you jumping on the air mattress with poor Earl flying up in the air....you make me laugh funny lady!I'm so glad that you are happy and well taken care of. You and Earl and are in my prayers.Love you very much!  BethModeratorFibrotic NSIP 06/06 Dermatomyositis 11/08From:  Lou <mlpretired (AT) aol (DOT) com>To: Breathe-Support Sent: Tuesday, March 10, 2009 5:13:02 PMSubject:  HI EVERYONE.............................................Just me !!!I am fine just can't put words together properly from brain because of the morphine. Dr. Haddad (pulmo) stopped in yesterday and made a fresh pot of coffee and we talked for quite a while. The chemicals in the morphine keep everything soft and limp and not meshing together right. It takes me a long time to write a sentence as I have to keep stopping and going back to correct mistakes. I do no write because it is so hard to see also with my eyes all screwed up.Thank you to all of you for your messages, emails and such that keep me going every day. I am making home made spaghetti sauce today with hamburger in it the way we like it, and will make garlic bread out of tuscan bread in the toaster. Want some......?? ??????? This is so difficult for me as I am not used to slowing down for anything.Last night Earl had his "angel wife", hahahahaha think of a very bright idea about how he could get some sleep finally after 2 1/2 months of sleeping in a chair. In the afternoon, a HUGE LIGHT BULB went off in my head and God made another miracle for me. When Earl got home at 10pm, I asked him to go into the closet to get our coleman queensize elect. airmattress and blow it up and put it at the foot of my bed and then he would be able to get a good night's sleep. He did that and after he was all tucked in and fed and watching tv, I came to bed to get into my bed but when I did I told him that when I wake up in the morning I am going to crawl down to the bottom of my hospice bed and stand up and jump really high up in the air and come down and land on one corner of the air mattress so his body would fly up in the air then we could hold hands coming down. hahahahahhhhhshshsh shasdfasdjfaskdj fsdkjfalsjfdasld kfaslfdjI sure hope you thought that was as funny as I did. He had a wonderful nights sleep and I slept next to him in the air bed for the first time in months. It was so good just to be next to him and he never moved and neither did I. took the hospice bed. haahahhaI feel marvelous, Dr. Haddad wants to know how I am doing it. I told him I wasn't,,,, that God was doing it as I have been praying for so long, guess He is going to answer and finish one way or the other soon. He said I looked good and hugged me so tight when he left, (I loved his shirt), ha, as watching, ha, and he answered a lot of questions I had for him. I did not know he was coming over until about 30 min.. before that.If I get sick I will tell you, if you don't hear from me for a few days at a time it is because I have gone to my secret island of healing and prayer. I will be healed when My Lord says I am, then watch me fly to the areas first where all the PF is. then you will be healed too, that is part of my prayer agreement with the Lord.WHO AM I TO SAY NO TO ME.I LOVE YOU THIS DAY. (ALSO HI TO ALL NEWBIES TOO)MARY LOU - RICHMOND VAIPF - 02

Hi Joyce,

My sister Amy is an OB here at Duke. She was with me in the ER and several times a day since then. At the moment she's at my house collecting some underwear and comfortable clothes to wear. She managed to have the hospital bring a small fridge to my room. She's a good sister trying to make me as comfortable as I can be.

Still waiting on results from the state lab and the CDC. Hopefully soon. So far they've said if the H1N1 is positive I have to stay put. If it's not H1N1 but some other variety of Type A flu, they will stop the Tamiflu (which is not very effective against most Type A flu) and start me on some kind of inhaler. They'll wait to make sure my lungs tolerate it and then I should be able to go home.

So it's waiting waiting waiting. In the meantime I feel crappy but better than I did when I got here so that's something. I just really want to go home so I can sleeeeeeep. (very uncomfortable bed). Haven't slept more than 2 hours in a row since I've been here.

Well, hopefully they will get the results soon and then somehow one way

or the other you'll get some sleep. I don't understand the lack of

comfortable hospital beds, whether ER or room. Rest and sleep are

important to feeling better, yet don't get well taken care of.

We'll wait for your next update.
