Guest guest
Well I'm still trying to figure out adrenal support and haven't started chelating yet, so maybe I'm not the best adviser. But a lot of my more serious problems came from taking ALA as an anti-oxidant while I still had amalgams in (before I knew better) and I feel that it moved a lot of mercury into my brain. So I think doing more rounds of DMSA only, just to make sure your body burden is down, makes sense. Going up to 8mg might be a good plan - it's a small increase and shouldn't be too different. Personally, I like the idea of having the DMSA dose higher than the ALA (says the person who hasn't tried it yet). Enjoying a few more rounds of feeling good would be a nice plan, too! We could all use a " feeling good " break! > > I am 3.5 months amalgam free now. I just completed round 8. 6mg DMSA > every 3 hours, 3 days on 4 days off, even waking at night. Not sure if it's redistribution or coming back from holiday blues..oh well..least I am getting some good days now inbetween the bad. I will stick at 6mg DMSA for the next round, if all goes smoothly maybe after that will increase to 8mg. I think introducing the ALA is too early for me. -----------There is nothing wrong with sticking with a dose that makes you feel good and you can handle. But when you feel ready, there's nothing wrong with trying a dosage increase too. And I think the ALA thing is very individual, about when to start it. For myself, I felt that if I only tolerated small doses of DMSA, then perhaps I had a very large body burden, and better work on lowering that before adding in ALA. So as you say above, and as suggested, waiting till you tolerate a higher dose of DMSA before adding in ALA might be wise. But, at some point, you should try the ALA, because some people have found that they feel better on it, and you won't know until you try. If you try it and it doesn't go well, then you know you're not ready for it. That happened to me. So trial and error, that's how you will know.--------Jackie I was feeling great away on holiday, now I'm back at work I feel rough again.......(sigh)......My head hurts from thinking about why i feel rough every single time i come back from holiday...... ------------Don't think about it too much, that is a normal adrenal response, to feel better on holiday and worse afterwards.---------Jackie Thxs replies, Sunshine > > > > I am 3.5 months amalgam free now.
