The other big important property of ALA is that it is a powerful antioxidant. That function of ALA should help people to feel better (once they chelate enough metals out). > For example: Take a person we knew had no heavy metal toxicity, would > that person notice anything from taking, say, 25-50 mg of ALA every > three hours for a few days? > It would be difficult to find a person who had no heavy metals in their body. If there are such people then they wouldn't notice anything from taking ALA every 3-4 h, or it might make them feel better in general. Guest guest
Who on this planet has not had Hg exposure? It's in the air, the water...vaccines, fillings, in their mother who carried them for 9 months..in fish...some things like optical solution used to have it, the list is endless really... who has not broken a fluorescent bulb? Essentially, if they reacted to it...they have a mercury problem they are unaware of. ALA is normally used as an antioxidant...so you should feel good taking it..unless you have mercury. So if there was no mercury, they should not feel anything but better taking it. > > Hello, > > From reading this forum, it seems that if a person gets symptoms from > ALA supplementation (every 3 hours) it is immediately assumed that it > is caused by the chelating effects of ALA (i.e., pulling out heavy > metals that then cause the symptoms). > > However, is there no other bio-chemical explanation as to why ALA > might cause a person to feel poorly? > > For example: Take a person we knew had no heavy metal toxicity, would > that person notice anything from taking, say, 25-50 mg of ALA every > three hours for a few days? > > Regards, > > Finkle >
