Guest guest
> I haven't heard that chamomile tea isn't good for Graves. Details? me neither. I've been drinking two cups of chamomile tea a day since I started taking the hawethorne berrry - about a month now - the only thing that worries me about tea is that someone ( B?) said she read a report that tea contains flouride. I buy the organic chamomile and am hoping that it doesn't have the flouride, but how do you know? Here is *my* story with the Benedryl Spray: 6 years ago I got a horrible case of poison oak. I did everything - cortisone creams and shots, steroid pills, calamine lotion, oatmeal baths, and lots and lots of benedryl spray. I was getting married soon and could not be all splotchy and itchy in my wedding dress if you know what I mean... It took months for the poison oak to go away...and I was desperate and begged the doc for more and more shots or pills, what ever it would take to get this thing to go away... and now that I'm taking my homeopathic course, I'm learning all about how when you suppress illnesses with allopathic medicine exactly the way I did with the poison oak and all these things, it can drive the disease deeper into your system and cause even worse problems. Looking back, after the poison oak episode is when I started to have some weight gain and depression and started feeling slow and sluggish (hypo I now think). So I think suppressing this poison oak thing was the very beginning to my thyroid/autoimmune problems.... and I would caution anyone about suppressing things on your skin - it's your body's way of ridding itself of toxins... rather, you should either find out what is causing the problem and stop exposing yourself to it or see a classical homeopath who help your body to deal with it and get rid of it once and for all. Obviously just my take on things, but if you want to check out what a homeopath has to say, here is a list of good homeopaths if anyone wants to go that route: http://www.homeopathy-cures.com/html/referrals_to_homeopaths.html Pam B. Diagnosed 12/01 (hyper with both graves and hashimotos ABs) Mostly Alt Med - doing MUCH better. Numbers very close to normal and ABs going away.
